SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-Sabt, 3rd/ 4th day of Ramadhan (Saturday 19th May). SHOULD A DIABETIC PERSON FAST? IS IT NOT SUFFICIENT FOR HIM TO OFFER FIDYAH (FEEDING THE POOR)?. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. In response to this question, I can say that One cannot make a blanket ruling to the effect that all diabetic people may skip fasting and only need to provide fidyah(feeding the poor). This is because each diabetic person's condition is different from the other, as each one reacts differently to fasting. My late sheikh Sibawaihi may Allah be pleased with him was a diabetic but never missed a day fasting that I'm aware of. Not even optional Mondays and Thursday's fasting. If we see one diabetic person as being adversely affected by fasting, we also find another, in spite of being a diabetic, not at all troubled by fasting. This being the case, one should never assume that all diabetic individuals are generally exempt from fasting. If a diabetic person has been advised by his or her doctor not to keep the fast, or if, after having monitored his or her sugar level, it has been determined that fasting is dangerous, then they are exempt from fasting, and they are to give fidyah instead. If, on the other hand, it was found that he or she is not adversely affected by fasting, then he or she must fast, and hence offering fidyah is not a valid option in this case. In other words, exemption from fasting is granted only to those who are adversely affected by fasting. Also note that feeding the poor if one is not able to fast for whatever reason does not cover the missed days of not fasting unless such person never recovered till death, in such cases the feeding is enough not to fast for the dead missed days but in any case, if you become well and capable of fasting then you must fast the number of missed days even if you fed the poor. May ALLAH forgive us all and accept our acts of ibaadaat. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 30th day of Rajab 1446AH, Thursday. 30th Jan. 2025). MEANING OF ALLAH CREATING HUMANS IN HIS OWN IMAGE.  BismilLah. Unfortunately, other faiths have made a serious mistake in trying to compare The CREATOR, ALLAH Azzawajal with HIS Creation human beings in physical appearance, and that's blasphemy and serious error  Sheikh AbuAmina, in one of his articles, explained that, in Islam, we believe that all people have been created in the “image” of ALLAH Azzawajal. But what does this mean? ALLAH Azzawajal is the creator of everything, including all people. That people are in the “image of ALLAH Azzawajal” means they are in the form that HE, ALLAH Azzawajal has chosen and honored for them, not that they resemble ALLAH Azzawajal in physical appearance or share in the Divine Essence. Just as we say a righteous person is the “servant of ALLAH” and a mosque is the “house of ALLAH” as a way to honor them, likewise is it an added dignity for pe...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat and Yaumul Aashuura. 10th day of Muharram, 1445AH (Friday, 28th July, 2023). SPECIAL EID DAY FOR US ALL. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum WarahmatulLah to you all. AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day. Today mark the day when ALLAH granted Musah alayhi salaam victory over Fir'awn. Today mark the day ALLAH humiliated HIS worse enemy on earth Fir'awn for his disbelief in ALLAH and claiming he was ALLAH. We are all fasting on this blessed day seeking forgiveness from ALLAH for our sins from last year till date as the Prophet sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam recommended.  Those who are unable to fast can still do much to earn lots of rewards especially our sisters and daughters in their monthly cycle. You can recite lots of azkaar and give sadaqah with your intention to seek forgiveness from ALLAH. Please remember today is Friday lets strive to go to Masjid early and also remember to send salutations to our...
