SECOND REMINDER. Yaum Al-Ahad 6th day of Shaãban. OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR FAMILIES. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem.   Let's continue from the first Reminder; I will first quote some of the Qur'anic verses about our parents. ALLAH says; "And We (WE is not plural in the Qur'an but ALLAH speaking in Authoritative manner, which English has no proper word to translate from the Arabic word used aside WE) have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents. In travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in two years was his weaning. Show gratitude to ME (If we was plural, he Allah will use US here not ME isn't it) and to your parents; to ME is your final goal." (Quran 31:14). According to the above verse, gratitude to ALLAH/ GOD and to parents go hand in hand. Gratitude to ALLAH is incomplete without showing gratitude to one's parents. Since being grateful to ALLAH is a form of ibadah (worship) which earns heavenly rewards, it can therefore be said that being grateful to one's parents also earns heavenly rewards. "Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but HIM, and that you be KIND to PARENTS. Whether one or more attain old age in their life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of HONOUR. And out of KINDNESS, lower to them the wing of HUMILITY, and say, "my Lord! bestow on them Them Mercy, even as they cherished me in childhood." (Quran 17: 23-24). This is more than enough to cover my topic today isn't it? But wait for the 3rd Reminder, more to come from ALLAH and HIS Messenger to know how crucial it is to ensure your parents are your best mates on earth to be kind to. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and increases us in beneficial knowledge. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 17th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday. 16th Feb. 2025). THE TRUE MEANINGS OF THE WORD DEEN continues. BismilLah.  ALLAH (Azza Wa Jal, The MIGHTY and the MAJESTIC) has sent HIS Messenger with the true deen for the purpose of ending the sovereignty of all false gods and granting us immense freedom so that we live as servants of none but the LORD of the UNIVERSE, no matter how much the idolaters and polytheists may dislike or oppose such a course. Thus, these three meanings of deen stand out: To acknowledge ALLAH as the ONLY LORD, MASTER and RULER. To obey and serve ONLY HIM. To be accountable to HIM, to fear only HIS punishment and to covet only HIS reward. Deen also includes obedience to ALLAH'S Messengers. The commandments of ALLAH Azzawajal have been given to human beings through HIS books and HIS Messengers. ALLAH Azzawajal says; Children of Aadam! If there should come to you Messengers from among you, who convey MY revelations unto you, ...

ALLAH says; 1. Successful indeed are the believers.  2. Those who offer their Salaat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 3. And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that ALLAH has forbidden).  4. Those who pay the Zakat . 5. Those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 6. Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; etc ALLAH, the Most High, says “…for verily ALLAH is with those who believe.”[Al Qur’an 8:19] When ALLAH says that “HE is with the believers”, it means that the believers don’t need anyone else. Rasullulah(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) has said “Be mindful of ALLAH, and ALLAH will protect you. Be m...
