FIRST REMINDER. Yaum Al-Ahad 6th day of Shaãban. OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR FAMILIES. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem.   We all know the important role our parents play in our lives as Muslims particularly our mother. Our mothers go through pains and sufferings during pregnancy and go through sleepless nights. It becomes worse during labour. There is nothing on earth that you can do as a child to repay your mum for that even if you carry her on foot to hajj, you've done nothing in reciprocating her pains and sufferings. Our parents as a team provided for all our needs as infants. They may have made lots of errors or mistakes in our upbringing but we cannot just ignore the pains of pregnancy and Labour. Our indebtedness to our parents is so immense that it is not possible to repay it fully. In lieu of this, it becomes obligatory for us to show the utmost kindness, respect, and obedience to our parents. The position of parents, and the mutual obligations and responsibilities, have been addressed in Islam in great detail. The Qur'anic commandments, as well as the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) guide us in this matter. The parent-child code of behavior in Islam is unique, since rules were laid down by divine command. References to parents have been made at least 15 times in the Holy Qur'an. There are numerous traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) on this subject. I will in Shaa ALLAH quote some of these narrations in the 2nd Reminder but before that, let's renew our relationship with our parents as Ramadan approaches. Don't allow Ramadan to start and you still have issues with your parents to resolve. Accept guilty regardless of what they've done as a strategy to reunite with your parents. You loose nothing if you tell them you are sorry and you are guilty to create unity. You shouldn't expect your parents to say this to you instead. Pride and Arrogance is worse source of failure in life. To be continued in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and increases us in beneficial knowledge. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 30th day of Rajab 1446AH, Thursday. 30th Jan. 2025). MEANING OF ALLAH CREATING HUMANS IN HIS OWN IMAGE.  BismilLah. Unfortunately, other faiths have made a serious mistake in trying to compare The CREATOR, ALLAH Azzawajal with HIS Creation human beings in physical appearance, and that's blasphemy and serious error  Sheikh AbuAmina, in one of his articles, explained that, in Islam, we believe that all people have been created in the “image” of ALLAH Azzawajal. But what does this mean? ALLAH Azzawajal is the creator of everything, including all people. That people are in the “image of ALLAH Azzawajal” means they are in the form that HE, ALLAH Azzawajal has chosen and honored for them, not that they resemble ALLAH Azzawajal in physical appearance or share in the Divine Essence. Just as we say a righteous person is the “servant of ALLAH” and a mosque is the “house of ALLAH” as a way to honor them, likewise is it an added dignity for pe...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat and Yaumul Aashuura. 10th day of Muharram, 1445AH (Friday, 28th July, 2023). SPECIAL EID DAY FOR US ALL. BismilLah.  Assalaamu Alaikum WarahmatulLah to you all. AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day. Today mark the day when ALLAH granted Musah alayhi salaam victory over Fir'awn. Today mark the day ALLAH humiliated HIS worse enemy on earth Fir'awn for his disbelief in ALLAH and claiming he was ALLAH. We are all fasting on this blessed day seeking forgiveness from ALLAH for our sins from last year till date as the Prophet sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam recommended.  Those who are unable to fast can still do much to earn lots of rewards especially our sisters and daughters in their monthly cycle.
