TAFSEER OF SURAH AN-NĀS WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaumul Jumuat, 21st day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Friday, 12th December, 2025.  BismilLah.

Alhamdulillah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week. Let's continue with our topic from yesterday's reminder.

Verse 1

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ

Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind. ALLAH Azzawajal begins with Rabb, the One who creates, nourishes, protects, and controls.

Verse 2

مَلِكِ النَّاسِ

The King of mankind. HE is the true Sovereign, no person, jinn, or force controls destiny except HIM.

Verse 3

إِلَـٰهِ النَّاسِ

The LORD of mankind. The only One worthy of worship, obedience, and ultimate reliance.

These three names show three layers of protection.

Verse 4

مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ

From the evil of the whisperer who withdraws. Al-Waswās: Shayṭān who whispers evil into the hearts

Al-Khannās: He hides and retreats when ALLAH is remembered.

Verse 5

الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ

The one who whispers into the hearts of mankind. The battleground of shayṭān is the heart. His goal is to plant: doubts, fears, sins, anxiety, despair.

Verse 6

مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

From among jinn and mankind

Whispers don’t come only from jinn, humans can whisper evil too, through bad friends, corrupt influences, media, and environments. To be continued with deep Commentary and explanation of these verses in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum As-sabt, 22nd day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Saturday, 13th December, 2025. TAFSEER OF SURAH AN-NĀS WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

Let's continue with our studies with Deep Commentary & Explanation of Qur’an 114.

Why the repeat “Rabb, Malik, Ilah”?

To teach that when you are spiritually attacked, you turn to ALLAH Azzawajal in: HIS RUBŪBIYYAH (care/protection), HIS Mulk (authority/power),

HIS ULŪHIYYAH (worship/devotion).

ALLAH Azzawajal is enough for protection from anything that harms the soul.

The nature of whispers: Scholars: say whispers fall into three types:

1. Shayṭān’s whispers: Push toward sin, laziness, anger, envy, fear, and regret.

2. Nafs (self) whispers: Desires, temptations, habits.

3. Human whispers: Bad company, pressure, gossip, manipulation.

Surah An-Nās protects against all three. To be continued in Shaa ALLAH Azzawajal. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaumul ahad, 23rd day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Sunday, 14th December, 2025.

Why does Shayṭān retreat when ALLAH Azzawajal is remembered?

Because dhikr burns him. Sheikh Ibn al-Qayyim may ALLAH Azzawajal be pleased with him said: “Shayṭān is like a thief; he flees from a house guarded by ALLAH’S remembrance.” This surah is one of the strongest shields.

Link with Surah Al-Falaq:

Surah Al-Falaq → protection from external harms (envy, magic).

Surah An-Nās → protection from internal harms (waswasah). Together they complete the believer’s protection. Allahu Akbar. Alhamdulillah. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-ithnayn, 24th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Monday, 15th December, 2025. TAFSEER OF SURAH AN-NĀS WITH CONTEXT, COMMENTARY, MEANINGS, and PRACTICAL LESSONS WE CAN APPLY IN OUR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

Let's continue with our studies with

Major Lessons & Reflections from Surah An-Nās.

1. ALLAH Azzawajal is sufficient as a protector. If ALLAH Azzawajal is your Lord and your King, then: no magician, no shayṭān, no evil whisperer can harm you.

2. The heart is the real battleground

Shayṭān does not force sin; he whispers. The surah teaches:

> Control your heart and you control your life.

3. Shayṭān attacks through doubts & fears. Feeling sudden worry, sin-desire, or depression? Often it is waswasah. This surah teaches the cure: seek refuge in ALLAH Azzawajal immediately.

4. Human influence can be as dangerous as jinn. Bad friends can ruin a person more than shayṭān.

Choose people who remind you of ALLAH Azzawajal.

5. Dhikr destroys whispering. Reciting: Mu‘awwidhatayn, Ayatul Kursi, Morning/evening adhkār, Saying “A‘ūdhu billāh” etc makes shayṭān retreat instantly.

6. Habitual recitation brings inner peace. People who regularly read Surah An-Nas experience: calmer heart, clearer mind, fewer doubts, stronger discipline, spiritual comfort.

7. A beautiful affirmation of ALLAH’S care. ALLAH teaches us how to ask HIM for help.

This means HE wants to protect us.

Alhamdulillah. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
