Tafsiir of Suurah al-Ikhlaaṣ, presented with context, meanings, commentary, and daily life lessons.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum As-sabt, 29th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Saturday, 20th December, 2025.  BismilLah.

The Quraysh at the time of the Prophet Mohammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam asked him; “Describe to us the lineage of your LORD, ALLAH.” They were used to gods with ancestry, images, and physical forms. This suurah was then revealed to clarify the absolute Oneness of ALLAH Azzawajal and to purify belief from all forms of shirk (associating partners with ALLAH Azzawajal).

Text, Meaning & Commentary

Verse 1:

 قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

“Say to mankind: HE is ALLAH, the One and Only.” Commentary:

Ahad means absolutely One, unique, incomparable. ALLAH Azzawajal is One in: HIS essence, HIS names and attributes, HIS right to be worshipped. Unlike humans, ALLAH’S oneness is not numerical (not “one of many”), but exclusive and unmatched.

Verse 2

 ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ

“ALLAH, the Eternal Refuge.”

Commentary: As-Ṣamad means: The One everyone depends on, Self-sufficient, Free from all needs. All creation needs ALLAHAzzawajal, but ALLAH needs nothing.

Verse 3

 لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

“HE neither begets nor is born.”

Commentary: ALLAH Azzawajal has: No children, No parents. No lineage. This refutes false beliefs such as: “ALLAH has a son” “Angels are daughters of ALLAH” etc.

ALLAH Azzawajal is eternal without beginning or end.

Verse 4

 وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

“And there is nothing comparable to HIM.” Commentary: Nothing resembles ALLAH Azzawajal: Not in power, Not in knowledge, Not in mercy, not in nothing. Human descriptions, images, or comparisons cannot apply to ALLAH Azzawajal. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH with some practical Lessons for our daily lives. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaumul ahad, 1st day of Rajab, 1447AH, Sunday, 21st December, 2025. PRACTICAL LESSONS FROM SUURAH IKHLAAS FOR DAILY LIFE. BismilLah.

1. Strengthen Tawheed. Worship ALLAH Azzawajal alone. Avoid relying on charms, superstition, or intermediaries. Ask yourself:

“Do I trust ALLAH Azzawajal more than people?” if yes Alhamdulillah but if no then sorry for your wahala😊.

2. Turn to ALLAH Azzawajal in Difficulties. Since ALLAH Azzawajal is As-Ṣamad, lets turn to HIM, In stress, In financial hardship, In family problems. Make du‘ā 🤲 before asking people.

3. Sincerity in Worship. Al-Ikhlāṣ means pure intention. Pray for ALLAH, not people’s praise. Give charity quietly. Do good even when unseen.

4. Dignity & Independence. If ALLAH Azzawajal needs nothing: Do not humiliate yourself before people. Seek help respectfully, but rely on ALLAH fully.

5. Regular Daily Practice. The Prophet ﷺ used to: Recite Sūrah al-Ikhlāṣ, al-Falaq, an-Nās before sleeping. Blow into his hands and wipe over his body (Bukhārī). Make this a nightly habit.

Whoever truly understands Sūrah al-Ikhlāṣ will never feel alone,

because ALLAH Azzawajal is always enough. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
