SUMMARY OF SURAH AL-KAHF (Qur’an Chapter 18) WITH LESSONS AND REFLECTIONS.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaumul Jumuat, 7th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Friday, 28th November, 2025.

 BismilLah.

Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullah brothers and sisters and faith. Alhamdulillah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week. We are know the importance of this day and the recommendation by our beloved Messenger of ALLAH sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam. Let's remind ourselves with the summary of stories surah and some lessons from it to aid our eemaan or faith.

Surah Al-Kahf contains four major stories:

1. The People of the Cave (Ashab al-Kahf)

A group of young believers fled their city to protect their faith from a tyrant ruler. ALLAH AzzaWajallah caused them to sleep for many years and woke them as a sign of HIS power.

Lessons: Lets hold firmly to our faith even when society is pushing the opposite direction. The Youth had special strength when they relied on ALLAH AzzaWajallah. ALLAH protects those who trust HIM.

The world will always test belief, but patience brings victory.

2. The Owner of the Two Gardens: A wealthy man became arrogant because of his gardens and denied the Hereafter. ALLAH AzzaWajallah destroyed what he had, showing that worldly wealth is temporary.

Lessons: Never be proud of wealth, health, or success as everything is from ALLAH AzzaWallah. Gratitude protects blessings; arrogance destroys them. True richness is faith, not property. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH Azzawajallah keep guiding and blessing us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaumul ahad, 9th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1447AH, Sunday, 30th November, 2025.REFLECTIONS FROM QUR’AN CHAPTER 18 IN OUR LIVES. BismilLah.

Let's continue with our topic from yesterday's reminder. From the lessons we learned yesterday, it's important to

Protect our faith in a world full of pressure, just like the youths hid in a cave, today Muslims must protect their hearts from harmful influences, media, peer pressure, or trends that pull us from ALLAH Azzawajal.

Wealth today is like the garden: Our car, house, job, beauty, and health can disappear overnight. Use them to please ALLAH Azzawajal, not to show off.

Life tests us with things we don’t understand. When something difficult happens, remember the story of Prophet Musah Alaihi Salaam and Prophet Khidr Alaihi Salaam:

There is wisdom behind every decree, even if you cannot see it yet.

Leadership starts at home. We may not be Dhul-Qarnayn, but we lead our family. Let's strive to be just, helpful, and protect those under our care.

Surah Al-Kahf protects us from the greatest fitnah, the Dajjal because its stories teach how to survive tests of faith, money, knowledge, and power. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

SUMMARY OF SURAH AL-KAHF (Qur’an Chapter 18) WITH LESSONS AND REFLECTIONS continues. BismilLah.

Let's continue with our topic from Friday's reminder.

3. Musah (عليه السلام) travelled to learn from a servant of ALLAH (al-Khidr). Khidr’s strange actions (damaging a boat, killing a boy, fixing a wall) had deeper wisdom that Musah A.S could not see or understood at first.

Lessons:

ALLAH'S wisdom is greater than our understanding. What looks “bad” may carry hidden mercy. Seek knowledge with humility. Be patient with things you cannot explain yet.

4. Dhul-Qarnayn: A righteous, powerful ruler traveled the earth establishing justice. He helped a community by building a barrier to protect them from Gog and Magog.

Lessons: True leadership is about service, justice, and humility. Power is a trust from ALLAH Azzawajal, not a reason for oppression. Protection and help should be given to the weak.

Overall Themes of Surah Al-Kahf:

The test of faith (People of the Cave).

The test of wealth (Two Gardens).

The test of knowledge (Musah & Khidr).

The test of power (Dhul-Qarnayn).

The temporary nature of this world.

The importance of patience and submission to ALLAH Azzawajal.

The need to follow divine guidance. May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding and protecting us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
