HOW TO RECONCILE THE PROPHET S.A.W saying, “CONVEY FROM ME EVEN IF ONLY AN AAYAH or VERSE,” WITH THE CONDITION THAT A CALLER SHOULD HAVE COPIOUS KNOWLEDGE TO GIVE DAAWAH?.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul al-ithnayn, 30th day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Monday, 22nd September, 2025.

BismilLah.

Sheikh Al-Fawzaan in his response states that: There is no contradiction here Alhamdulilaah, because the conveyance is of two types: conveying the text and conveying the meaning.

The first type: conveying the text [i.e., the wording] is something everyone who has memorized a text from Allaah’s Book or the Sunnah of HIS Prophet can do, he can help the people memorise it … when he’s memorised a Surah or an aayah he can teach the people that Surah and when he has memorised a hadith he can teach it to the people, this is conveying the text and anyone can do it, for this reason the Quraan is taught by many people who do not have knowledge but they have memorized the Quraan and can recite well, and [likewise] people who do not have knowledge teach hadiths to the people but they are good at having memorised the hadith and teaching it to the people. Having an understanding [fiqh] is not a condition for conveying a text.

The second type: conveying meanings, i.e., the explanation of these texts and clarifying the rulings and wisdom contained therein, this is the one that requires knowledge and no one should carry this out except a scholar or explaining as the scholars did. So there is no contradiction between the obligation of conveying and the fact that no one calls the people except someone who has knowledge of what he is calling to because da’wah requires understanding conveying the meaning.

The meanings of the texts and their explanations and clarifying them to the people is different to the first type which everyone who has memorized something from the Book of ALLAH Azzawajal or the Sunnah of HIS Messenger can do and teach the people about, this is good, that he sits and teaches the people and makes them memorise the Qur’an and memorise the hadiths and [other] texts, this is very good but we say to him: do not explain the meanings to the people when you don’t know them yourself.

May ALLAH Azzawajal keep guiding us all and increase us in wisdom and beneficial knowledge. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
