EXTERNAL and INTERNAL HONESTY IN ISLAM. BismilLah.

By external honesty, I mean honesty, which is judged by other people. By internal honesty, I mean honesty which is judged by the person himself alone.

The reward of external honesty comes from ALLAH, from people, and from the psychological satisfaction the honest person feels. When you are honest, you are liked by ALLAH Azzawajal and the people with whom you deal. Your honesty gives you the social approval you need and there comes the social value of honesty.

Further, when everybody is honest, a great deal of human problems disappear including lying, cheating, bluffing, stealing, forgery, and many other social diseases. In other words, honesty is something you give and something you take: others enjoy your honesty and you enjoy their honesty.

In the absence of honesty, many social diseases appear. If a person is dishonest, he is ready to tell lies, to bribe, to be bribed, to distort the truth, to cheat, to forge, to deceive others, and to break his promises. A dishonest person is a totality of diseases. He is ready to misbehave at any time. Each time he misbehaves, he causes a great disturbance or harm to one person or a group of persons or the whole nation, in some cases.

Internal Honesty: Thus honesty is a factor in the psychological health of the honest person himself and the health of other persons with whom he deals. However, Islam emphasises internal honesty, i.e., honesty which is judged by the person himself and cannot be seen by other people.

We ask Allah to aid us in our efforts to be honest for HIS sake. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
