DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Al-khamis, 9th day of Rajab 1446AH, Thursday. 9th Jan. 2025).

LET'S PURIFY OUR HEARTS TO TASTE THE SWEETNESS OF EEMAAN(FAITH). BismilLah.

In an authentic hadith narrated by al-Abbas Bin Abdul-Muttalib (the Prophet’s uncle) recorded by Imam Muslim, the Prophet (Sallallaahu AlaihiWasallam) said, “Indeed he who is pleased (and content) with ALLAH as his/her Lord (Rubb), Islam as his/her Deen and Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam as his Messenger has tasted the sweetness of faith (eeman).”

How can one taste the sweetness of eeman? We perceive taste through sensory organs called taste buds located on top of the tongue. The taste sensation and flavours are produced and determined when a substance in the mouth reacts with the receptors of taste buds. Thus, sweet and bitter tastes can be experienced by the tongue.

Eeman is neither a food nor a substance that can be tasted by the tongue. How would one then taste eeman and which organ is responsible for that? The organ responsible for the taste of eeman is the heart. The Prophet (SAW) once pointed to his chest declaring taqwa is here; indicating that eeman is in the heart. We know from an aayah in surat al-Hujurat where, in response to the Bedouin Arabs who came to the Prophet (S.A.W) claiming eeman, ALLAH (SWT) rejected their claim saying,“You have not yet come to believe, all you may say is ‘We have surrendered,’ and not until eeman enters your heart” (al-Hujurat, 49:14). This ayah is a clear proof that the organ responsible for eeman is the heart. If the heart is sound one may experience the sweet taste of eeman. Otherwise, one’s eeman is either weak or the heart is so corrupt and damaged that there isn’t a mustard seed’s weight of eeman in one’s heart.  May ALLAH Azza Wajalla protect our eemaan and aid us to taste it in our hearts. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
