DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Arba'a, 1st day of Rajab 1446AH, Wednesday. 1st Jan. 2024).

Should I say “Bi-idhnilLah (by ALLAH’s leave)” or “In shaa ALLAH (if ALLAH wills)”? Which of them is better to use if you intend to do something?. BismilLah.

One of our respected sheikhs has said that there is no much difference between you saying “In Shaa ALLAH” or “Bi-idhnilLah.”

What is meant by both phrases is very similar, so making something conditional upon ALLAH’s WILL is similar to making it conditional upon HIS LEAVE or PERMISSION. This is because both the general WILL of ALLAH and HIS universal leave and decree are both characteristics of divine Lordship that belong to the Creator, may HE be glorified and exalted. Whatever ALLAH WILLS, HE has permitted it to happen, and whatever HE has permitted to happen, HE has willed that it be created and brought into existence. Thus, the two meanings are synonymous even though ALLAH instructed we say In Shaa ALLAH when we intend doing anything.

The Quranic usage of these two phrases is also very close in meaning, without much difference between their meanings, as they are always used in the same context. ALLAH, may HE be exalted, says:

"It has never been for us to bring you evidence except by permission of ALLAH" [Ibrahim 14:11] also in Qur'an 13:38.

With regard to HIS WILL, ALLAH, may HE be exalted, says:

"Blessed is HE who, if HE WILLED, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces.} [al-Furqan 25:10].

In fact, in the Quran there are some verses which mention both phrases together, which is indicative of how close they are in meaning. We see this in the verses in which ALLAH, may HE be glorified and exalted, says:

"And it is not for any human being that ALLAH should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that HE sends a messenger to reveal, by HIS permission, what HE WILLS. Indeed, HE is Most High and Wise" [ash-Shura 42:51]. Also in Qur'an 53:26 you’ll find the two phrases. May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
