 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Ath-thalaatha, 14th day of RabeeulAwwal, 1446AH (Tuesday, 17th September 2024). SHOW OFF IS A SERIOUS CRIME FOR OUR EEMAAN (Faith in ALLAH). BismilLah.

One of the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam, Shaddad ibne Aws (radi Allahu anhu) once began to cry, People asked why he was crying, so he replied, “It is something I heard from Rasulullah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) which makes me weep when I remember it. Rasulullah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: ‘I fear for my people Shirk (ascribing partners to ALLAH) and hidden desires.’ I asked: ‘O Rasulullah! Would your people be guilty of idolatry after your death?’ Rasulullah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) replied: ‘Yes (but) they will not worship the sun, the moon, a stone or an idol; but they will act for display (without sincerity). Hidden desire is that one of them will start the day fasting, but when one of his desires will present itself to him; he will abandon his fast (and satisfy his desire).’” [Musnad Ahmed].

A man was offering his prayers in his house. He was praying as fast as he could as many of us do. All of a sudden, he heard the door behind him open. Since someone had entered the room, he started making his Ruku and Sujood longer. Upon completion of his Salah he looked back to see who it was. To his amazement, it was a cat! SubhaaAllah.

Today we are ready to perfect our Salah for someone to see. But for the Creator, we rarely lengthen our Qiyam (standing), Ruku (bowing) and Sujood (prostrations). Today we do beautify our clothes and jewelry if we are to meet a renowned person or for some family gatherings, for job interviews. Whereas when the pious people of the past would get up for Tahajjud prayer at night, they would wear their best clothes, put on Surma and adorn themselves to stand in front of ALLAH.

Everything a Muslim does should be for ALLAH. If the intention behind the act of ALLAH'S’s obedience is to please other than ALLAH, then the person has set up another entity alongside ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) who is to be pleased. The believers are intense in their love of ALLAH, everything else is secondary for them.

As ALLAH says;

“Among the people there are some who set up co-gods beside ALLAH whom they love like the love due to ALLAH. But those who believe are most intense in their love for ALLAH.” [Quran: Surah Al-Baqara, Ayat 165]. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
