THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 21st day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Saturday, 2nd March 2024). CHARACTERISTICS OF A TRUE BELIEVER. BismilLah.

ALLAH, Praised be HIS Name, says:

“ The (true) believers are only those who, when ALLAH is mentioned, their hearts tremble, and when HIS verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord, they rely.” (Quran, 8:2).

ALLAH describes true believers with 3 amazing characteristics.

The first characteristic is that when ALLAH is mentioned, their hearts tremble out of awe, fear, and respect for HIM. This is because they really know who ALLAH is. Do you feel the same when you hear about ALLAH?

The second characteristic is that their faith increases when the Quran is recited. Their eeman increase because they understand the meanings of the Quran. How do you feel when you hear the recitation of the Quran, or do you just love listening to music?

The third characteristic is that they put their trust in their Lord. Since they know that HE is the only one who predestinates and everything is under HIS control. Do you rely solely on ALLAH?

These three characteristics will let you know if you are a true believer.

But not only this, the following verse (8:3) mentions establishing Salah and giving sadaqah as also characteristics of the true believers. So, a true believer is the one who both has a strong faith in his heart and does good deeds with his limbs.

We should really check if we have these characteristics so that we may be among those whom ALLAH will give this reward as HE says in the fourth verse of this very same surah:

“ Those are the true believers. For them are degrees (of high position) with their Lord and forgiveness and an honourable provision.” (Quran, 8:4). ALHAMDULILLAH. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect our eemaan from any satanic influences. Aameen.

Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36.  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
