THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 21st day of Swafar, 1445AH Wednesday, 6th September, 2023). AQEEQAH, THE SUNNAH WAY. BismilLah.

Aqeeqah is a confirmed Sunnah. If the guardian of the child is capable of slaughtering two sheep for a baby boy and one sheep for a female child, he should do so. The Prophet said: “A baby is being pledged for his ‘Aqeeqah, sacrifice is made for him on the seventh day, his head is shaved, and a name is given to him.” If one cannot slaughter on the seventh day, one may slaughter on the fourteenth day, or on the twenty-first day. If one is not capable of doing so, then one may slaughter any time before the puberty of the child. After puberty, the person should slaughter for himself/herself.

The recommended acts related to the newborn baby are as follows: First, one proclaims the Azan (prayer call) in the baby's ear as narrated by Al-Tirmizi and Abu Daawud that Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and peace of ALLAH be upon him) proclaimed the Azan in the ear of Al Hassan right after Fatima gave birth to him. Al-Tirmizi said that this Hadith is a good and sound one and that this is applied among the Muslims. On the other hand, there is nothing in the Hadith that specifies the right ear from the left one. But it is a Sunnah to opt for the right side from everything as narrated by Al-Bukhari from the Hadith of Aishah that the Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) preferred to start the right when putting on his shoes, cleaning himself and walking. So, the Azan in the right ear is more likable and some scholars believe so. Ibn Al Qayem in his book "The Masterpiece of the beloved person about the rules related to the new born baby" said that the Azan is proclaimed in the baby's right ear while the Iqaama is proclaimed in his left one. Ibn Al Qayem stated two Hadith about this matter. Secondly, as a Sunnah, one can also chew little date and then put it in the baby's mouth for Abu Musa's Hadith, which narrated in Al-Bukhari and Muslim's books of Hadith. Several scholars believe that this is likable and it is not peculiar to the Prophet (Blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). It is narrated that Al-Imam Ahmad did so to some of his children. The baby should be given a nice name. The baby's head should be clean shaved on his/her seventh day and the weight of the hair in silver should be given out as alms to poor people. The baby boy should be circumcised. I advise you all to read Ibn Al Qayim's book mentioned earlier as it is a good source in this matter. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36.  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
