 DAILY ISLAMIC  REMINDER. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 20th day of Dhul Hijjah (Tuesday, 19th July 2022). 

CAN I OBEY ALLAH AND FOLLOW ONLY THE QUR'AN TO PARADISE?. BismilLah. 


A non Muslim and even some Muslims  do ask if they can go to paradise without following the sunnah or teachings of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam? Let's note that obeying ALLAH is without doubt, obligatory. So when ALLAH says: “Whosoever obeys the Messenger, has indeed obeyed ALLAH ” (Surah An-Nisa 4:80), it should be clear that one has obeyed ALLAH by obeying the Messenger. Furthermore Muhammad sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam said: “…whosoever disobeys me, disobeys ALLAH ”. Following the Sunnah is clearly an obligation upon every Muslim.

The obligation is stressed even more when ALLAH says: “But no, by your Lord, they can have no faith, until they make you (O’ Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept them with full submission” (Sura An-Nisa 4:65) and :

“It is not fitting for a believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decreed by ALLAH and HIS Messenger to have any choice in the matter. If anyone disobeys ALLAH and HIS Messenger he is clearly ASTRAY ” (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:36). As Muslims we know that when ALLAH or HIS Messenger decree something for us, it will always benefit us, even if we do not realize it. Thus, submitting to the Messenger is only there for our benefit and not to oppress us, as some mistakenly believe.

May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36.
