Criteria for Determining What is Right or Wrong in Islam CONTINUES. BismilLah.

The Second Criteria is The Sunnah. Whatever is established to be authentically related from Prophet Muhamad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), is clear in meaning, and is not countered by any other evidence, is something that a Muslim has no option but to accept. Those who chooses to be following only the Quran are making a grave mistake and that alone may render your shahaadah or declaration of faith invalid. 


Consensus of the Muslim Scholars is the third criteria: What we are concerned with here is consensus that is well established where we are absolutely certain of unanimity of opinion. Nevertheless, we can see from looking at numerous examples that the opinion held by the majority of the people of knowledge is usually the correct one. These are based on references from the Companions of the Prophet up to Group of Muslims who are qualified as Mujtahids. To be continued tomorrow in shaaALLAH. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech.
