EIDUL-FITR is celebrated on the first day of Shaw'waal, at the completion of RAMADAAN which may be Tomorrow Wednesday or Thursday subject to moon sighting this evening or not in Shaa ALLAH. The Eid-al-Fitr is a very joyous day; it is a true Thanksgiving Day for the believing men and women. On this day we Muslims show our real joy for the health, strength and the opportunities of life, which ALLAH has given to us to fulfill our obligation of fasting and other good deeds during the blessed month of Ramadan. Zakaatul fitir that we offer to the poor to enable them enjoy like us is to also mend any errors we made during our 29/30 days Fasting.
Sunnahs of Eid day. Wake up early.
Prepare for personal cleanliness, take care of details of clothing, etc. Take a Ghusl (spiritual bath) after Fajr. Brush your teeth. Dress up, putting on best clothes available, whether new or cleaned old ones. Use perfume (men only). Have breakfast on Eid-al-Fitr before leaving for prayer ground. Pay your Zakaat-al-Fitr before Salaat-al-Eid, meaning you should offer it today or early morning before going for Eid else after Eid, it's not considered zakaatul fitir. Go to prayer ground early. Offer Salaat-al-Eid in congregation in an open place except when whether is not permitting like rain, snow, etc. Use two separate route to and from the prayer ground. No sunnah salaat on the ground of eid. Recite the following Takbir on the way to Salaat and until the beginning of Salaat-al-Eid:
Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar.. Laa ila-ha ill-lal-lah. Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar. Wa-lilahill hamd.
(Allah is great, Allah is great. Ther is none worthy of worship except Allah. Allah is great, Allah is great. And all praises are for Allah). To be continued tomorrow on how to offer the eid Salaat in shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH accept our ibaadaat (acts of worship). Aameen.
