THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 24th day of Shawwal (Tuesday 16th June, 2020).
BETTING OF ANY KIND IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN IN ISLAM. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

ALLAH (ArRazzaaq, The Provider of Wealth) Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5, Suurah Maaidah verses 90-91 to the nearest Meaning "O you who believe! Intoxicants, gambling(betting), (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows are an abomination of the Shaytaan's handiwork: avoid such abomination that you may prosper. ALLAH says.

Betting on something whereby one wins/loses based merely on chance is a clear manifestation of the abomination of maysir or gambling which is categorically forbidden to the believers who sincerely fear ALLAH and the Last Day.

One may play or engage in a sport like football, or tennis, or cricket, or swimming, etc provided its indulgence does not effect the fulfillment of ones obligatory duties in Islam such as our salaat, dressing Islamically etc.
But if one places a bet that such and such a sports team will win the World Cup, win a game, score such goals, and one is entitled to win/lose something depending on whether his prediction was right or wrong without an iota of a doubt, such betting on sports (or anything else for that matter) would constitute the abomination of maysir or gambling in the Sight of ALLAH.

May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36.  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
