THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 27th day of Muharram 1440, (Sunday 7th October, 2018). RULINGS on ADOPTING NICKNAMES IN ISLAM. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Alhamdulillah. Islam is a complete code of life which deals with all sorts of issues. Bassically , there is no harm in adopting any good meaningful nickname as long as they do not imply anything impermissible, such as contempt, hate, pride, arrogance and so forth. It is narrated in Imam Bukhari's al Adab al Mufrad that the Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) would refer to Sayyidah `Aa'ishah may ALLAH be pleased with her as "Aa-ish" and Sayyidina `Uthman may ALLAH be pleased with as "`Uth". So we can call our love ones with nicknames such as Princess, Darling, Imam, etc. The title "Abu Hurairah" may ALLAH be pleased with him is a Nick name the PROPHET sallallahu alaihi wasallam gave to Abdur-Raḥmān ibn Sakhr (عبد الرحمن بن صخر) which means "Father of a Kitten", in reference to his documented attachment to cats. Let's just avoid using bad nicknames like negga, shagy etc. Such bad names only aid us to be arrogant and pride. Today's Reality is that we want Big Houses but Small Families. More Degrees, Less Common Sense. Advanced Medicine, Poor Health. High Income, Less Peace of Mind. Good Knowledge, Less Wisdom. Lots of friends on Facebook, No best friend in reality to remind us of Allah and death. Costly Watches, Missing salaat times. We ask Allah to have mercy on us and protect us from any pride and arrogance. Aameen.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 5th day of RAJAB (Saturday 29th of February, 2020). LETS BE MINDFUL OF THESE BAD HABITS IN LIFE. BismilLah. Let's remind  ourselves that ALLAH does not love stubborn rejectors of faith, committing sins, and showing ingratitude. ALLAH says: فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ Verily, ALLAH does not love the unbelievers. Qur'an 3:32. Why? Bcs their disbelief in ALLAH and HIS Messenger only grant them the Hellfire. And ALLAH says: وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ أَثِيمٍ ALLAH does not love any ungrateful sinner. Quran 2:276. ALLAH does not love arrogance, pride, boasting to one another, extravagance, and exultation in wrongdoing. ALLAH says: إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَن كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَخُورًا Verily, ALLAH does not love those who are proud and boastful. Surah An-Nisa 4:36. These few are more than enough to aid us to fear these bad acts in our lives. We ask ALLAH to make us among those who are loved by HIM and who are...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 25th day of RAJAB, 1444AH (Thursday 16th February. 2023). TOLERANCE WITH PEOPLE IN ISLAM. BismilLaah.  Tolerance (samah) is an important trait of a Muslim’s good character. We Muslims should be kind and gentle, patient with people, forgiving of bad character, and lenient whenever possible. The Prophet Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam commanded us to avoid causing unnecessary difficulty and hardship in people’s lives and to inspire people with graceful speech. Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not repel people. Cooperate with each other and do not become divided. Sahih Bukhari 2873, Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi. This command is closely related to the need of a Muslim to control his or her anger. Unrestrained anger leads to numerous sins and bad deeds, so Muslims must temper their anger with patience, tolerance, and the ability to hold back harmful words. Teasing, mockery, insults to others et...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 17th day of Jumaadal Aakhir.. (Saturday 30th January 2021). A SERIOUS CONDITION TO FULFILL FOR ALLAH TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah Consuming haraam wealth is one of the major reason why du’aa’s are not answered. Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “O people, ALLAAH is Good and only accepts that which is good. ALLAAH commanded the pious to follow the same commandments as HE gave to the Messengers. HE says; ‘O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibaat [all kinds of Halaal (lawful) foods which ALLAAH has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am Well-Acquainted with what you do’ [al-Mu’minoon 23:51]. ‘O you who believe (in the Oneness of ALLAAH, Islamic Monotheism)! Eat of the lawful things that I have provided you with’ [al-Baqarah 2:172]. Another important point is to rea...
