DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul Jumuat, 29th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Thursday,  28th February 2025. SOME ACTS THAT DOES NOT INVALIDATE THE FASTING. BismilLah.  Alhamdulillah, for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week.  In shaa ALLAH Taraaweeh may begin tonight subject to Ramadhan moon sighting around magrib time tonight, so let's be alert and begin the fasting tomorrow if confirmed this evening.  Let's note some things that don't invalidate the fasting according to scholars based on knowledge of the Quran and sunnah: eyedrops, eardrops, tooth extraction, and treatment of injuries do not invalidate the fast. Medical tablets that are placed under the tongue to treat asthma attacks, etc, so long as you avoid swallowing any residue.   Anything that enters the urinary tract of a male or female, such as a catheter tube, or medical scopes, or opaque dyes inserted for the purpose of x-rays, or medicine, or a solution to wash t...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Arba'a, 27th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Wednesday,  26th February 2025. SOME CONDITIONS TO FULFIL FOR ALLAH AZZAWAJAL TO ANSWER OUR DUA. BismilLah.  In shaa ALLAH Ramadhan may start on Friday subject to moon sighting on Thursday. Ramadhan is a blessed month, but our dua may be wasted if we do not change our ways of life.  Our dua may not even reach ALLAH Azzawajal, which most of us may know, but as ALLAH says, reminders only benefit believers as such, we must remind each other regularly because it's a serious issue.  Let's note that Dua or seeking favour or mercy from the most HIGH, ALLAH is like a weapon, and a weapon is only as good as the person who is using it; it is not merely the matter of how sharp it is. If the weapon is perfect and free of faults, and the arm of the person using it is strong, and there is nothing stopping him, he has experience in using the weapon then he can lay waste the enemy or his target without fail. Bu...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 26th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Tuesday,  25th February 2025. Tolerance and Forgiveness as the Ramadhan approaches. Bismillah.  Life is short. Let us not waste our energy on being angry at those who  wrong us and seeking revenge against them. If we can progressively minimize our spite every day, then soon we will bear no hatred or malice in our hearts, in shaa ALLAH (God willing). This is how we can end conflict amongst ourselves, since it is a day to day issue we face. After all, sometimes our own actions can provoke another person’s wrongdoings, and we may not be aware of how we contributed to the conflict. We tend to judge the faults of others while being blind to our own. We forget how we have wronged others, and we only remember how others have wronged us. In the same manner, we forget the good things that others have done for us, and remember only the good that we have done for them. It is an innate human error. But let u...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-ithnayn, 25th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Monday,  24th February 2025. ARE WE PLANNING TO HELP OTHERS FOR ALLAH SAKE IN THIS BLESSED MONTH OF RAMADHAN? BismilLah  In shaa ALLAH, Ramadhan may start on coming Friday subject to moon sighting.  If you are blessed with wealth, good health, or knowledge, then we should acknowledge HIS blessing by sharing with those who are less fortunate. Some may need direct financial aid. Others may need guidance in the form of sound sincere advice. Others may need comfort and a good word. All are forms of Sadaqa that will count in our favour. Let's look into our relatives or family and help those who are certain to struggle in this blessed month.  I want to advise that wherever you are, respect and follow the decision of your central masjid imam or management so that with unity, we can start with BismilLah and end with AlhamdulilLah. Let's strive to forgive whoever we have issues with and start this fa...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul ahad, 24th day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Sunday,  23rd February 2025. DOES taken a FLU-SHOT invalidate our fasting Bismillah.  As Ramadhan approaches, its important to start asking and learning more about this blessed month. Do not do anything without having knowledge of it. Back to our topic.  According to the most preferred position of scholars in Islam, receiving Flu-shot does not invalidate the fast since it does not fall under the category of consumption of food or drink, which we are ordered to refrain from while fasting. It is necessary to point out that the above rule should not be extended to receiving injections of nutrients or glucose; such injections will surely break the fast. If, therefore, a person must receive such injections in the daytime during the month of Ramadhan because of health reasons, he or she is allowed to skip and make up for it after Ramadhan. But normal injection, which does not contain any nourishment or nut...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm As-sabt, 23rd day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Saturday,  22nd February 2025. SOME RULES PERTAINING TO FASTING IN RAMADHAN. BismilLah.  In shaa ALLAH, fasting will be starting within few days time. May ALLAH Azzawajal grant us the opportunity to be part and aid us through. Aameen.  Fasting in the month of Ramadhan is one of the 'pillars' of the Islamic faith. It's obligatory (wajib), and one denying it goes out of the fold of Islam because it is obvious like salaat. It was declared an obligatory duty (fard ) in the second year of the Hijrah upon each and every mukallaf (one capable of carrying out religious duties, i.e. a sane adult) and breaking it (iftar) is not permissible except for any of the following reasons: 1. Hayd and nifas: Fasting is not valid for women during menstruation and puerperal bleeding (after childbirth). 2. Illness: Fasting is not valid if it would cause illness or aggravate it, or intensify the pain, or delay recovery bec...
DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawmul Jumuat, 22nd day of Sha’abaan 1446AH, Frday, 21st February 2025. ARE YOU PREPARING FOR RAMADHAN?. BismilLah.  Next week, by this time, we may have started the fasting subject to sighting the Ramadhan moon on Thursday, be-iznilLah.  Almost all Muslims, including even some non Muslims, are aware of the real nature of fasting in the month of Ramadhan, as such we start to prepare from Sha’baan, and some even started before that.  Among the best ways of preparing for the month of Ramadhan is Sincere repentance; This is obligatory at all times, but because of the approach of a great and blessed month, it is even more important to hasten to repent from sins between you and your LORD, and between you and other people by giving them their rights, so that when the blessed month begins you may busy yourself with acts of worship with a clean heart and peace of mind. ALLAH Azzawajal says:  “And all of you beg ALLAH to forgive you all, O beli...
