THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 19th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Thursday, 29th February 2024). 4 CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE continues. BismilLah.  Let's continue from our Reminder yesterday. Falling in category 2 may be the result of either of two things: That ALLAH loves you and therefore is testing your patience to increase your rewards; this is because HE says: And ALLAH will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient," Al Baqarah 155. Or that there are errors in your worship, sins that you commit unknowingly or sins that you aren't repenting from. Hence ALLAH is testing you to make you realize your mistake, as HE says: And ALLAH will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will repent." As Sajdah 21. This may actually be blessings in disguise if we can understand and make the right decisions by stepping up our repentan...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 18th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Wednesday, 28th February 2024). 4 CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE. BismilLah.  If you look into people today, you find them in 4 categories: let's study and strive to be among those striving to be successful.  1. Those who are obedient to ALLAH and happy with their life. 2. Those who are obedient to ALLAH but unhappy with their life. 3. Disobedient to ALLAH but happy with their life. 4. Disobedient to ALLAH and unhappy with their life. Falling in category 1 is normal because ALLAH says  Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a BELIEVER, ALLAH will surely cause him to live a good life, and ALLAH will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do." ( Al Nahl 97). May ALLAH aid us to be among this category of people. Aameen. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and increases us all in beneficial knowled...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 17th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Tuesday, 27th February 2024). FRIENDSHIP AND INFLUENCES. BismilLaah ALLAH the Exalted says in the Qur’an: “And (remember) the Day when the wrong-doer will bite his hands and say: Woe to me! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger. Woe to me! If only I had not taken so-so-and-so as a friend! He has led me astray from this Reminder (the Qur’an) after it had come to me. Satan is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need.” Qur’an 25:27-29. So take heed before the inevitable Day comes when we are called to account for our actions. ALLAH, the All-Wise also says: “Friends on that Day will be enemies to one another, except al-Muttaqoon (i.e. those who have Taqwa).” Qur’an 43:67.  The benefit of mixing with the righteous is immense, and it will, in shaa ALLAH, be even more obvious to us in the Hereafter. One of the early Muslims said that it is from ALLAH'S ’s blessings upon a youth when he turns...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 16th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Monday, 26th February 2024). A VIRTUE CALLED PATIENCE. BismilLah  Can our impatience about things we can not change, change anything? To be patient and let things run their course as they should is one of the secrets of happiness and contentment. Patience is one of the most important qualities demanded of those who claim to love ALLAH, as the degree of patience determines those who are sincere in their claim and those who are not. The degree of patience needed to endure hardship and difficulties in order to please the Beloved proves the sincerity of one’s love. Many claim to love ALLAH, but when ALLAH tests them with hardship, they forget the true essence of love. No one can adhere to the love of ALLAH except those who are patient and persevering. If it were not for the test of hardship and sincerity, there would be no proof of the sincerity of a person’s love for ALLAH.  The one whose love of A...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 15th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Sunday, 25th February 2024). ACTIONS THAT CARRIES THE REWARD of HAJJ FOR THOSE WHO CANT AFFORD TO PERFORM HAJJ continues  BismilLaah Let's continue with our reminder yesterday. Since Hajj is among the most virtuous deeds in Islam, and not everyone can afford it (especially on a continuous basis) ALLAH Ta’ala has attached the reward of optional Hajj to certain other deeds for the benefit of all especially the poor.  The Prophet Mohammed (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: “One who purifies himself (i.e, makes wudu) and leaves his home to attend the Fard Salah in congregation receives the reward of a Haji in the state of Ihram, (Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 559).  Abdullah ibn ‘Amr (radiyallahu ’anhuma) reported That Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: “He who recites Subhanallah 100 times in the morning and another 100 times in the evening is like one who performed Hajj (Sunan Tirmidhi, H...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 14th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Saturday, 24th February 2024). ACTIONS THAT CARRIES THE REWARD of HAJJ FOR THOSE WHO CANT AFFORD TO PERFORM HAJJ  BismilLaah Nothing of course can equal actually performing the Hajj, Umrah and worshipping ALLAH in those blessed places. However, since ALLAH knows that many people long to make Hajj and Umra every year but are unable to do so out of HIS generosity HE made the reward for certain actions similar to the reward of a supererogatory Hajj or Umra especially for those who cannot perform Hajj and Umrah so do not use any wrong income to Hajj or Umrah. The below act can earn us rewards similar to the rewards of Hajj and Umrah.  Remembering ALLAH from Fajr until Ishraq. The Messenger of ALLAH (may ALLAH bless him and grant him peace) said: “Whoever who prays Subh (Fajr) in congregation and then sits in the place where he prayed remembering ALLAH (Through any zikir) until the sun rises and then pr...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 13th day of Sha’abaan, 1445AH (Friday, 23rd February 2024). THE REVELATION OF THE QUR'AN BROUGHT BOTH GOOD NEWS AND WARNINGS  BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah, for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day of the week.  ALLAH praises HIS Holy SELF in 18:1 as follows; All praise is due to ALLAH, WHO has sent down to HIS servant the Book and has not placed therein any crookedness. ALLAH, praises HIS Holy Self at the beginning and end of matters, for HE is the One to be praised in all circumstances, all praise and thanks be to HIM, in the beginning and in the end. HE praises HIMSELF for revealing HIS Mighty Book to His Noble Messenger Muhammad, which is the greatest blessing that ALLAH has granted the people of this earth. Through the Qur'an, HE brings us out of the darkness into light. HE has made it a Book that is st...
