SECOND REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn 3rd day of Zul-Qa'adah (Monday 16th July). SOME GOOD REASONS WHY EVIL EXISTS. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from the first reminder; 3 Affliction is necessary to experience its opposite feelings of joy and achievement. ALLAH says: “With hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” Qur’an 94:5-6. The appreciation of ease and comfort could only exist and be appreciated if the feelings of hardship also existed and were known or experienced. In Chinese Philosophy, the concept of yin and yang is employed to explain this phenomenon. Each part is necessary to understand the unity of the whole. They are in equilibrium: if one disappears, the other must disappear as well, leaving emptiness. It should be patently clear that the inability to see the wisdom behind something should not be a cause of criticizing that thing. Of course, the final analysis concerning all of this is Allah knows best. May ALLAH keep guiding us all and...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul Ithnayn 3rd day of Zul-Qa'adah (Monday 16th July). SOME GOOD REASONS WHY EVIL EXISTS. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. 1. Suffering and affliction often help return us to the obedience of ALLAH. Allah says: “I sent messengers before you [Prophet Muhammad PBUH] to many communities and afflicted their people with suffering and hardships, so that they might learn humility. If only they had learned humility when suffering came from Us! But no, their hearts became hard…” Qur’ān 6:42-43. There is a lesson in the conversion of the famous rock star, Cat Stevens, now known as Yusuf Islam. He related the story himself: “After a year of financial success and high living, I became very ill. I contracted T.B. (tuberculosis) and had to be hospitalized. It was then that I started to think; what is going to happen to me? Am I just a body? Is my goal in life merely to satisfy this body? I realized this calamity was a blessing given to me by God and a chance to open my eyes,...
THIRD REMINDER. Yaumul Ahad, 2nd day of Zul-Qa'âdah (Sunday, 15th July). OUR SUSTENANCE IS FROM ALLAAH. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Umar ibn Al-Khattab(RA) narrated that the Prophet (sas) said:   "If only you relied on Allah a true reliance, He would provide sustenance for you just as He does for birds: They fly out in the morning empty and return in the afternoon with full stomachs. 1. Reliance (Tawakkul) on Allah is one of the most important causes of getting sustenance in this life. Allah said: "And whoever fears Allah, He will provide him a way out and will provide for him from an unforeseen direction. And whoever relies on Allah, He is sufficient for him. 2. Reliance on Allah does NOT mean not working and striving for sustenance in this life. Al-Bahaiqiy (one of the major collectors of hadith) said: "There is no support in this hadith for resigning from working to earn. On the contrary, it in fact supports working and seeking earnings. This is because ...

Allah is The Bestower of Provision , Allah(SWT), the Almighty says:   "Surely Allah is the Bestower of provision, Lord of Power, the Almighty".Noble Qur'an (52:58). People, birds, fish, animals, insects and reptiles are all creatures, which need food, air and water. In our organized society we get them through working in different fields such as: agriculture, i...
FIRST REMINDER. Yaumul Ahad, 2nd day of Zul-Qa'âdah (Sunday, 15th July). A TRUE LIFE STORY TO LEARN SOME LESSONS FROM. SHE MARRIED HIM FOR HIS DEEN. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. A PRACTISING MUSLIM SISTER, university educated, working as Pharmacist, would always on Jummah, after finishing work, go to her favourite local hot halal food take away to buy food as the food was fresh & tasty. There was a young practising brother working there, and he would always serve the sister... Over time the sister saw how he would be moving his lips (engaging in Zikr) whilst working. Over a year, the brother also admired the sisters way of talking & hijab and covering herself. He took the bold step one day and said, “Forgive me, but are you engaged or married?. She said: “No”. The following week when she came in, he gave her a note which was written: “Forgive me for the sake of Allah SWT, I ask you to marry me... I would like to marry you for your Deen. I would like to come to yo...
