 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 17th day of RAJAB (Monday, 1st March 2021). DO NOT BE LIKE FIR'AWN (Pharaoh). BismilLah.  When Muusah Alaihi Salaam called Fir'awn to obey ALLAH/ stop his evils. and be a Muslim, he accused Musah of wanting to bring mischief(extremism and evil) then went to the Public to say falsehood pretending to be defending them from SOME FALSEHOOD(WHICH HE accused Musah alayhi salam of). He pretended and arrogantly said "...he's afraid Musah will spread mischief (extremism and the likes) just to direct people who don't think deep and wisely to believe him.  ALLAH says in Surah Ghafir, Verse 26: وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ذَرُونِي أَقْتُلْ مُوسَىٰ وَلْيَدْعُ رَبَّهُ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَن يُبَدِّلَ دِينَكُمْ أَوْ أَن يُظْهِرَ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْفَسَادَ Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Leave me to kill Musah (Moses), and let him call his Lord (to stop me from killing him)! I fear that he may change your religion, or that he may cause mischief to...

 THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 16th day of RAJAB (Sunday 28th February 2021). ARE YOU AN ENEMY TO YOURSELF AND ISLAM. BismilLaah. One of The biggest enemies of Islam is the ignorant Muslim whose ignorance leads him/her to intolerance, whose actions distroy the true image of Islam and when the people look at him/her they think that Islam is what he/she is. ALLAH says  O Muhammad, "Shall I inform you of the greatest losers as to their deeds?" "They are those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work or deeds." (Al-Kahf 18:103--104)" Islam is a complete ways of life. Let's learn those ways from the Qur'an and Sunnah and act purely to please ALLAH.  May ALLAH (Al-Hayyu, Al-Qayyuum, The Living, The Maintainer of Life) grant us the true meaning of Islam and help us to worship and live our ways of life upon it.  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm as-sabt. 15th day of RAJAB (Saturday 27th February 2021). SO CALLED NATURAL DISASTERS SUCH AS CYCLONES, HERICANES, EARTHQUAKES IN RELATION TO ALLAH'S MERCY. BismilLah.  The Arabic word for mankind is Insaan. One of the meanings of Insaan is forgetfulness. Human beings are forgetful, and we need constant reminders as to who we are, why we are here on earth, and to whom we owe a debt of gratitude. All our acts of worship, our Salaah, Zakaat, our fasting and Hajj, are actually reminders of this unique relationship between the Creator and the created, between the Rabb and His abd, the Lord and His servant. ALLAH, the Exalted, thought us a powerful dua in the Qur’an which is; _رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَاماً_ Our Lord Bestow on us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us an Imaam (leader/guide) for the pious (Muttaqoon)*. That's one of the best duas for married couple to be reciting. *(Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa dhurriyaatinaa qurrata a`ayunin wa’j`alnaa li’l muttaqiina imaama)” [Qur’an, 25:74].  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum ath-thalaatha. 12th day of RAJAB (Wednesday 24th February 2021). THE MOST EFFECTIVE GOOD DEEDS IN EXPIATING OUR SINS BismilLaah. The Messenger of ALLAH (blessings and peace of ALLAH be upon him) is reported to have said: “Muusah (peace be upon him) said to ALLAH: ‘O Lord, teach me something by which I may remember You and call upon You.’ ALLAH said: ‘Say: Laa ilaaha ill- ALLAH (there is none worthy of worship  but ALLAH).’ He said: ‘O Lord, all Your slaves say that, but I wanted something that is only for me.’ He said: ‘O Muusah, if the seven heavens and all their inhabitants and the seven earths, were (placed) in one pan (of the Balance) and Laa ilaaha ill-Allah was placed in the other pan, Laa ilaaha ill-Allah would outweigh them.”Narrated by Ibn Hibbaan (6218) and al-Haakim (1936). Believing in ALLAH’s "WILL" is an integral part of a Muslim’s faith. One common way for the Satan is, therefore, to make us compare our situations with those around us and leads us to feeling discontented with ALLAH’s "WILL". BismilLah.  Imam Muslim May ALLAH be pleased with him narrated that The Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said: “He is successful who has accepted Islam, who has been provided with sufficient for his wants and been made contented by ALLAH with what HE has given him. Nowadays when people say, ‘So so and so is very successful’ what they mean is, ‘He/she is making a lot of money or wealth.’ In the above mentioned hadith ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) explains who qualifies to be called successful. Having good manners, character and being humble are part of been a Muslim. Many of us think that “a perfect Muslim” is simply one who is correct in the observance of the salaah (ritual Prayer), the fasting, the zakah (payment of a certain portion of one’s wealth to the poor), and the Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah). This indeed is not the case. If the ritual observances do not help the person to be humble, virtuous and truly God-fearing, then he or she is not a true Muslim. A Muslim should be good and just in dealing with others, no matter their religion, and take special care to keep away from all the shameful and sinful things ALLAH (God) has forbidden. Many of those who do not have strong faith deliberately or mistakenly sit with people who are  immoral and sinful like them just to avoid any criticism etc. They may even sit with those who attack the Sharee’ah and make fun of Islam than the people who adhere to it strictly. There is no doubt that this is a forbidden deed, one which could undermine a person’s belief. ALLAH says in the Quran: “And when you see those who engage in a false conversation about Quran by mocking, stay away from them till they turn to another topic. SOME SAY WE MUSLIMS WORSHIP THE SUN OR THE MOON, LET'S HEAR WHAT OUR LORD SAYS ABOUT THAT FROM THE REVELATION OF GUIDANCE HE SENT TO US THROUGH PROPHET MOHAMMED sallalLaahu  Alaihi Wasallam (THE QURAN). BismilLah.  In Suuratul Fussilat, Quran 41:37 ALLAH commanded the Prophet Mohammed sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam to inform mankind that; وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِ ٱلَّيۡلُ وَٱلنَّهَارُ وَٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُۚ لَا تَسۡجُدُواْ لِلشَّمۡسِ وَلَا لِلۡقَمَرِ وَٱسۡجُدُواْ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُنَّ إِن كُنتُمۡ إِيَّاهُ تَعۡبُدُونَ  Among ALLAH'S signs are the NIGHT and the DAY, the SUN and MOON. BismilLah.  Islam teaches us to take responsibility for our actions and our situation without blaming others. Blaming others is so often used as an excuse to avoid necessary introspection and self-improvement. Abu Dharr may ALLAH be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said that ALLAH the Exalted said: يَا عِبَادِي إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَعْمَالُكُمْ أُحْصِيهَا لَكُمْ ثُمَّ أُوَفِّيكُمْ إِيَّاهَا فَمَنْ وَجَدَ خَيْرًا فَلْيَحْمَدْ اللَّهَ وَمَنْ وَجَدَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ فَلَا يَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ O my servants, it is only your deeds that I record for you and then recompense for you, so let him who finds good praise ALLAH and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself. BismilLah.  Our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam was recognized, even by the Quraish of Makkah, his worst enemies, who called him by the name of as-Sidddiq (the truthful) and al-Ameen (the trustworthy) long before his Prophet hood because of his honest and truthful dealings as a trader. But the titles al-Ameen and as-Sidddiq do not simply imply honesty in money matters alone; they are comprehensive and cover righteousness in every form.  Whoever happened to have any dealings with him at this early period never ceased to praise him all his life. BismilLah.  There is a very strong and beautiful message in the Quran among many is in Suurat Al-Kahf that sometimes we forget to ponder. The message is in this verse: “Wealth and children are [but] adornment of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for [one’s] hope.” (Qur’an 18: 46) Many of us spend majority of our time and attention in this life working on those two aspects: accumulating money and raising children. Almost everything in life revolves around those two things. For many people, the measure of one’s success is his job and how much money he has. As Muslims, one of our major downfall is our lack of appreciation and thankfulness to ALLAH for guiding us and blessing us with healthy life. Most often we react to show unhappiness due to lack of wealth but fails to be cheerful and hope for better with our healthy life. Always remember that a wealthy person lying in small hospital may not hesitate to exchange his entire wealth for your good health in poverty. So be cheerful and praise ALLAH all the time for your health.  The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him is reported to have said, “There is nothing wrong with being wealthy for one who is mindful of ALLAH, yet good health for one who is mindful is better than wealth.  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt. 1st day of RAJAB (Saturday 13th February 2021). STOP COMPLAINING AND GIVE  SADAQA EVEN IF BY SMILING. BismilLah. The last and Final Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “There is a (compulsory) Sadaqa (charity) to be given for every joint of the human body (as a sign of gratitude to ALLAH) every day that the sun rises. To judge justly between two persons is regarded as Sadaqa, and to help a man concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride it or by lifting his luggage on to it, is also regarded as Sadaqa, and (saying) a good word is also Sadaqa, and every step taken on one's way to offer the compulsory prayer (in the Masjid) is also Sadaqa and to remove a harmful thing from the way is also Sadaqa.” [Sahih Bukhari]. Bismillaah Knowing the Realities of Life: ALLAH says to the nearest meaning; "And put forward to them the example of the life of this world, it is like the water (rain) which ALLAH send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it, and becomes fresh and green.  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat. 30th day of Jumaadal Aakhir. (Friday 12th February 2021). Summary of Suurat Al-Kahf (Quran 18). I have been sharing this summary for many years now as a constant reminder, the wisdom behind reciting/studying this suurah each Friday. Lets read through and get motivated to study the suurah for our own benefit. BismilLah.  This Suurat has 4 stories,  1. The People of the Cave which talk about trial of eemaan.  2. The Owner of the two gardens, which talk about trial of wealth and children. 3. Muusah (A.S) & Khidir (A.S), which is about trial of knowledge. And 4. Dhul Qarnayn, which talk about trial of authority.  The first two deals with good companionship and knowing the reality of life which is calling to ALLAH.  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-khamis. 29th day of Jumaadal Aakhir. (Thursday 11th February 2021) ARE YOU FASTING TODAY?. Bismillah. Yes I accept the blame if you forgot to fast today as I should have reminded you since yesterday BUT you can continue as you read this as its not too late even if you didn't intend for it.  Basically,  the purpose of fasting is to develop the quality of righteousness (taqwa), inwardly and outwardly, by abstaining from sinful deeds and training ourselves to control our thoughts and desires. Fasting is a deeply spiritual practice that is meant to benefit us in body, mind, and heart. ALLAH says: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ O you who believe, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you that you may become righteous. BismilLah.  Seeking Forgiveness and Sincere Repentance are very important in getting us closer to ALLAH.  Benefits of Tau’bah: The Qur’an describes the story of Prophet Nuh (A.S), "I said (to them): Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, HE is Oft-Forgiving; HE will send rain to you in abundance; And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.  THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn. 26th day of Jumaadal Aakhir. Monday 8th February 2021). HOW SHAYTAN BEAUTIFIES BAD DEEDS TO DECEIVE SERVANTS OF ALLAH. Bismillah.  Shaytan made the idea of eating from the forbidden tree appear attractive to Aadam alaihi Alaihi Salaam by giving it a beautiful and attractive name. He kept claiming to Aadam that the forbidden tree was 'the tree of eternal life,' and that eating from it would make him live forever in Paradise, or would make him one of the angels.  ALLAH informed us how sheitaan deceived Aadam alaihi Salaam in the following from the quran. BismilLah.  The general answer to blasphemy as commanded in the Quran is to respond with patience, beautiful preaching, and graceful avoidance. The Quran records the fact that the Prophet was called a “sorcerer,” a “madman,” and a “liar,” yet ALLAH commanded him to be patient and to increase his acts of worship.
