Our 4th Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib may ALLAH be pleased with him reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: لِلْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ سِتَّةٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ وَيَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ وَيَتْبَعُ جِنَازَتَهُ إِذَا مَاتَ وَيُحِبُّ لَهُ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ A Muslim has six rights over another Muslim regarding good conduct: to greet him with peace when he meets him, to respond to his invitation, to respond to his sneeze, to visit him when he is sick, to follow his funeral prayer when he dies, and to love for him what he loves for himself. ALLAAH made Islam to destroy the sins that came before it. When a disbeliever becomes Muslim, ALLAAH forgives all that he or she did when he was a non-Muslim, and he becomes cleansed of sin. In Swaheeh Muslim (121) narrated that ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may ALLAAH be pleased with him) said: When ALLAAH put Islam in my heart, I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAAH be upon him) and said: “Give me your right hand so that I may swear allegiance to you.” He held out his hand and I withdrew my hand. He said, “What is the matter, O ‘Amr?” I said, “I want to stipulate a condition.” He said, “What do you want to stipulate?” I said, “That I will be forgiven.” He said, “Do you not know that Islam destroys that which came before it?” “Islam destroys that which came before it” means that it erases it and wipes it out. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 3rd day of Jumaada Al-Thani (Tuesday 28th of January, 2020). ISLAMIC SOLUTION TO FORGETFULNESS. Bismillah. Frequently remembering ALLAAH, may HE be glorified, by reciting dhikr, tasbeeh (saying ‘Subhan ALLAAH ’), tahmeed (‘Al-hamdu Lillaah’), tahleel (‘Laa ilaaha ILL-ALLAAH ’) and takbeer (‘Allaahu akbar’), etc. ALLAAH says: “…And remember your Lord when you forget…” [al-Kahf 18:24]. Not eating too much, because eating too much makes one sleep too much and become lazy, and it dulls the senses, besides exposing one to the risk of physical diseases. Most of the diseases which we see result from food and drink. Some of the scholars have mentioned certain foods which increase the memory, such as drinking honey and eating raisins and chewing certain kinds of gum resin. The issue of wearing amulets and good luck charms is important to understand for a Muslim to implement the teachings of monotheism (tawheed) in his or her daily life. Many cultures have practices in which they wear accessories or seek blessings from objects, believing that these objects can ward off evil. Such practices contradict the correct understanding of the attributes of ALLAH, as only ALLAH has the absolute power to bring benefit and protect from harm. ALLAH says: قُل لَّا أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِي ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ Say: I have no power at all for myself to harm or benefit except as ALLAH wills. Surat Yunus 10:49. The television networks announce their viewer ship for all major events to be in the billions, which indicates the ability to influence so many people all at once. This shows the ability of disseminating information (true or false) to billions of people. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 24th day of Jumaada Al-Awwal (Sunday 19th of January, 2020). MAKING SUNNAH WITH HER DURING HER MENSTRUATION PERIOD IS HARAAM. BismilLaah. ALLAH has forbidden men to have intercourse with their wives at the time of menstruation. The Qur’aan clearly stated the reason for this prohibition, which is that menstruation is adha (a harmful thing). ALLAH says: “They ask you concerning menstruation. Say: that is an Adha (a harmful thing for a husband to have a sexual intercourse with his wife while she is having her menses), therefore, keep away from women during menses” [al-Baqarah 2:222]. Scientific studies in this field have disclosed to us some of the harm that is referred to in this verse, but they have not managed to describe all the harms that are referred to in the Qur’aanic text. Some Muslim sisters and brothers do ask regularly, Would ALLAH forgive me for such and such sins?. SubhaaAllah, this kind of question is even forbidden to ask to be frank because ALLAH actually LOVE those who return to HIM seeking forgiveness regardless of how often we sin and ask for forgiveness. Concentration in our salaat is part of the perfection of the Salaat.  Let's find out how to concentrate during our salaat. Avoid praying in a state in which you are mentally and physically fatigued. Keep your mind free of worldly worries, evil thoughts, and ideas. Plan what verses/duas you are going to recite. If you do not understand Arabic, learn the meaning of what you recite in your Prayer. Remind yourself that engaging in Prayer offers you an opportunity to release yourself from the tensions of this world. Use your Prayer to remain focused on your mission in life, which is to bring your entire being to serve only ALLAH. Fulfill all your personal needs before you commence your Prayer, for e.g., thirst, hunger and calls of nature. But don't do that at the time for the prayers. Physical actions such as the Salaat, Fasting, Zakaat and Hajj etc is an essential part of faith, without which faith is not valid, and a lack of physical action is indicative of a lack of faith in the heart, because they are strongly interconnected. Whoever thinks that there could be strong and sound faith without that leading to physical action (righteous deeds), even though he knows about his religious duties and is able to do them, is thinking that something impossible is possible, and is denying the connection between physical action and what is in the heart. Many people do not take the matters of their religion seriously, and they offer feeble excuses. Sheikh Anas, may ALLAH be pleased with him, said: While we were in the mosque with ALLAH'S Messenger, may ALLAH'S blessings and peace be upon him, a Bedouin entered and began to urinate.  The companions of ALLAH'S Messenger became alarmed and screamed at him: "Stop! Stop!" ALLAH'S Messenger said, "Don't interrupt him; leave him alone." When the man had finished, ALLAH'S Messenger  called him and said: "Mosques are not places for urination or  defecation,  but rather they are built for the remembrance of ALLAH, prayer and recitation of the Qur'an." The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: It is not lawful for a man to sit between two people unless he has their permission. Sunan Abu Dawud 4845. The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, would say when leaving an assembly: سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ O ALLAH, glory and praise be to YOU. I testify there is no GOD but you, I ask your forgiveness and I repent to YOU. A man said to him, “O Messenger of ALLAH, you have spoken words never you have uttered before.” The Prophet said: كَفَّارَةٌ لِمَا يَكُونُ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ It is an expiation for what happens during the assembly. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 16th day of Jumaada Al-Awwal (Saturday 11th of January, 2020). MAKE A SINCERE BELIEVER YOUR CLOSED FRIEND. BismilLah. Instead of making friends with the misguided ones we should befriend the righteous and treat the rest in a gracious and just manner. Staying at sufficient distance is necessary, yet treating everybody in a noble and kind manner is required. We should have only good practising Muslims as our close friends. ALLAH the Exalted says in the Qur’an: “And (remember) the Day when the wrong-doer will bite their hands and say: Woe to me! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger. Woe to me! If only I had not taken so- and-so as a friend! He/she has led me astray from this Reminder (the Qur’an) after it had come to me. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 15th day of Jumaada Al-Awwal (Friday 10th of January, 2020). WHAT IS HIDDEN UNDER THE TONGUE IS A KEY TO PARADISE AS MUSLIMS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Our Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Much silence and a good disposition, there are no two things better than these.” [Authenticated by Imam Al-Bukhari]. “Every man/woman is hidden under his/her own tongue.” The tongue reveals inner beauty as well as inner vileness. Therefore, the safety of a man/woman lies in holding his tongue. Do not judge or marry through the beauty of the face but investigate his or her character especially his or her obedience to ALLAH not the beauty and the wealth. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 14th day of Jumaada Al-Awwal (Thursday 9th of January, 2020). WATCHING/SHARING PORNOGRAPHY AS A MUSLIM IS A DISASTER FOR YOUR EEMAAN (FAITH). We all know the importance of making dua or dzikir in general isn't it? Remembering ALLAH (dhikr) brings great benefits, such as spiritual well-being, tranquillity and softening of the heart. DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 12th day of Jumaada Al-Awwal (Tuesday 7th of January, 2020). A LIFE OF SINS? Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Human  beings are difficult sometimes isn't it? If you had an argument with someone, and then you try to talk to them again, you’ll feel like things are not the same anymore. They might not meet you with the same open arms and complete acceptance like before. And if you had several problems or downfalls with the same person, then that person might black-list you and make sure not to accept you back in his/her life because of your shortcomings. This is how we treat each other most times. But this is NOT how ALLAH treats us!
