THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 28th day of Dhul Qaādah (Wednesday 31st July, 2019). TYPES OF HAJJ CONTINUES FROM YESTERDAY'S REMINDER. BismilLah. The second type of hajj to note is Ifraad. Ifraad means entering ihraam for Hajj only. When the pilgrim reaches Makkah he performs tawaaf al-qudoom (tawaaf of arrival) and saa’i (to perform the going (Tawaaf) between As-Safa and Al-Marwah, the two mountains) for Hajj, but he does not shave or cut his hair and does not exit ihraam, rather he remains in ihraam until he exits ihraam after stoning Jamarat al-‘Aqabah on the day of Eid.  If he delays the saa’i of Hajj until after the tawaaf of Hajj, there is nothing wrong with that. The 3rd type is termed Qiraan. Qiraan means entering ihraam for ‘Umrah and Hajj both together. Or entering ihraam for ‘Umrah first then including Hajj in that before starting the tawaaf of Hajj. That is done by intending that the tawaaf and saa’i will be for both Hajj and ‘Umrah.  The action...

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 27th day of Dhul Qaādah (Tuesday 30th July, 2019). TYPES OF HAJJ. BismilLah. There are three types of Hajj: Tamattu’, Ifraad and Qiraan. Tamattu’ means entering ihraam for ‘Umrah only during the months of Hajj (the months of Hajj are Shawwaal, Dhu’l-Qi’dah and Dhu’l-Hijjah). When the pilgrim reaches Makkah he performs tawaaf(circumambulating the Kaaba (most sacred site in Islam) seven times, in a counterclockwise direction) and saa’i(to perform the going (Tawaaf) between As-Safa and Al-Marwah, the two mountains) for ‘Umrah, and shaves his head or cuts his hair, and exits ihraam. Then when the day of al-Tarwiyah(day of Hajj), which is the 8th of Dhu’l-Hijjah, comes, he enters ihraam for Hajj only, and does all the actions of Hajj. BismilLaah As the hujjaaj departs towards the most important and meritorious journey of their life, we pray that ALLAH purify their intentions and accept their hajj. Aameen. Hajj is one of the best acts of worship. It is one of the pillars of Islam with which ALLAAH sent Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam and without which a person’s religious commitment is incomplete. Worship cannot bring a person closer to ALLAAH and cannot be accepted unless it meets two conditions: 1. Sincerity towards ALLAAH alone, i.e., it is done to seek the Countenance of ALLAAH and the Hereafter, and is not done to show off, to enhance one’s reputation or for worldly gain. 2. Nothing of course can equal actually performing the Hajj, Umrah and worshipping ALLAH in those blessed places. However, since ALLAH knows that many people long to make Hajj and Umra every year but are unable to do so out of HIS generosity HE made the reward for certain actions similar to the reward of a supererogatory Hajj or Umra especially for those who cannot perform Hajj and Umrah so do not use any wrong income to Hajj or Umrah. The below act can earn us rewards similar to the rewards of Hajj and Umrah. Remembering ALLAH from Fajr until Ishraq. Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) was asked: “Who are the best type of people?” He replied: “A person who is truthful in his speech and Makhmoom in his heart.” the companions asked: “We know what is truthful speech, but what is a Makhmoom heart?” He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) responded: “It is a pure pious heart that does not have envy, evil or spite.” [Ibn Maajah]. Now let's consider this short story to understand our reminder this morning: A teacher once told each child in her troublesome class to bring a plastic bag and some potatoes. THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Dhul Qaādah (Thursday 25th July, 2019). SHOWING OFF IN WORSHIP. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Whoever does any act of worship for the sake of ALLAAH and other people, his deeds will be unacceptable, as is stated in the hadeeth qudsi: ALLAH says “I am so self-sufficient that I am in no need of having an associate. Thus he who does a deed for someone else’s sake as well as MINE will have that deed renounced by ME to him who he associated with ME.” (Reported by Muslim, no. 2985). It may happen that a person starts to do a deed for the sake of ALLAAH, then the urge to show off comes over him. If he resists that impulse his deed will still be acceptable, but if he submits willingly to it, then in the opinion of most of the scholars his deed will be unacceptable. May ALLAH protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

ALLAH’s Messenger (May peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A house will be built in Paradise for one who offers 12 Rak'aat in a day and evening as follows: 4 Rak'aat before and 2 after the Dhuhr Prayer, 2 after the Maghrib Prayer, 2 after the ‘Ishaa’ Prayer and 2 before the Fajr Prayer." Narrated by Imam at-Tirmizi under No. 380. He said: The Hadith narrated by ‘Anbasah quoting Umm Habibah in this chapter is a hassan and sahih hadith. It is under No. 6362 in Sahih al-Jaami’. The 4 rakaats before zuhur and asr has two tashahhud but one tasleem at the end.  The ‘Asr (Late-Afternoon) Prayer has no routine Sunnah (basic recommended voluntary prayer). ALLAH says in the Holy Quran to the nearest meaning; To ALLAH belongs the dominion of the hevens and the earth; HE creates what HE wills. HE gives to whom HE wills female [children], and HE gives to whom HE wills males. Or gives in mix of males and females, and HE renders whom HE wills barren. Indeed, HE is Knowing and Competent. Ash-Shura 42:49/50. So people are divided into four categories when it comes to blessings with children: some are given daughters, some are given sons, some are given both sons and daughters, and some are not given either sons or daughters, but they are rendered barren, with no offspring. This topic is very broad in Shariah and I cannot do much justice to it as such will summarise to remind each other be-iznilLah. In Islam, the conditions of marriage are that the two partners should be identified and give their consent, and there should be a wali (guardian) and two witnesses. If these conditions are met and the marriage is announced, then this marriage is valid regardless of the distance but on condition. ALLAH says in the Qur'an; Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is ALLAH " and then remained on a right course - the angels will descend upon them (during the last moment of death), [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised. ALLAH says; "HE loves those who turn to HIM constantly (in repentance)" [Surah Al Baqarah 2:222]. Say AstaghfirulLah regularly and strive to stop sinning. 2. TAHARAH (Purification). THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 11th day of Dhul Qaādah (Sunday 14th July, 2019). ETIQUETTES OF VISITING THE SICK. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. It is proven in al-Saheehaayn (Books of Imam Muslim and Imam Bukhari and the rest of our scholars) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAAH be upon him) said: “There are five duties that the Muslim owes to his fellow Muslim,” one of which is visiting the sick. According to another version: “The rights of one Muslim over another are…” Imam Al-Bukhaari said: Chapter on the obligation of visiting the sick, and he narrated the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAAH be upon him): “Feed the hungry, visit the sick and free the captives.”  This hadeeth indicates that it is obligatory, and may be understood as meaning that it is a communal obligation, like feeding the hungry and freeing the captives. ALLAH says; The Qur'an is the guidance for the worlds (3:96); and the manifest light (4:174). According to Qur’an, ALLAH has laid down solution of every human problem in the Qur’an very clearly. It says: “and ALLAH revealed the Book to you explaining clearly everything (16:89). Also HE has described the Qur'an in these words: “ ....... a guidance for mankind and clear evidence of guidance and discrimination (between right and wrong)”. (2:185). When we die, Prayer is the first responsibility we will be judged upon, if it is sound [accepted], then all our deeds after it will be sound [accepted] and if it is corrupt, then all our deeds after it will be corrupt. The Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, “whoever abandons it [prayer], has disbelieved.” However, it is not only the Prayer’s obligatory nature that should compel us to tend to it. THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 8th day of Dhul Qaādah (Thursday 11th July, 2019). LETS BE STEADFAST IN OUR OBEDIENCE TO ALLAH FOR PARADISE WILL BE AN ULTIMATE REWARDS. THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaā, 7th day of Dhul Qaādah (Wednesday 10th July, 2019). TRUE SERVANTS OF ALLAH HAS A UNIQUE ATTRIBUTE. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALLAH says in the Quran; And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace. Al-Furqan 25:63 ALLAH tells here the attributes of the believing servants of HIM, those who walk on the earth "Hawna", meaning that they walk with dignity and humility, not with arrogance and pride. This is like the Aayah: وَلَا تَمْشِ فِى الاٌّرْضِ مَرَحًا And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance... (17:37). So these people do not walk with conceit or arrogance or pride. This does not mean that they should walk like sick people, making a show of their humility. THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 6th day of Dhul Qaādah (Tuesday 9th July, 2019). TREAT THE BAD RELATIVES AND FRIENDS WITH GOODNESS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. In Quran 41:34 ALLAH says (Tafsir ibn kathir); وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّيَةُ The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. means, there is a huge difference between them. ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ Repel (the evil) with one which is better, means, `when someone does you wrong, repel him by treating him well,' as Umar, may ALLAH be pleased with him, said, "There is no better punishment for one who has disobeyed ALLAH with regard to you, than your obeying ALLAH with regard to him." فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ then verily he, between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend. means, `if you treat well those who treat you badly, this good deed will lead to reconciliation, love and emp...

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 5th day of Dhul Qaādah (Monday 8th July, 2019). ONLY ALLAH DESERVES OUR WORSHIP. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Quran 2:21, ALLAH says; يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُواْ رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ O mankind! Worship your Lord (ALLAH), Who created you and those who were before you so that you may acquire Taqwa (Righteousness,  consciousness of ALLAH or Acting only to please ALLAH seeking HIS PARADISE). ALLAH mentioned HIS Oneness in divinity and stated that HE has favored HIS servants by bringing us to life after we did not exist. Allahu Akbar. HE also surrounded us with blessings, both hidden and apparent. Which of the favours of ALLAH can we deny? May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen.

THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 2nd day of Dhul Qaādah (Friday 5th July, 2019). ACCEPTED DUA(SUPPLICATION). BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. In Jami`at-Tirmidhi, Book 27, Hadith 11, Abu Harairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of ALLAH (peace be upon him) said: "Three supplications are accepted, there is no doubt in them (about them being accepted): The supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of his father against his son." This is a beautiful hadith on hope, reflection and patience. Hope for the oppressed, reflection for the traveller for no-one goes anywhere but closer to the destination of ALLAH, and a warning to exhibit patience with our children. Please remember today is Friday. Leave home early to masjid, perform ghusul, send lots of salutations to our beloved Messenger of ALLAH, recite Quran more especially suuratul Kahf. Shaytan made the idea of eating from the forbidden tree appear attractive to Aadam alaihi Alaihi Salaam by giving it a beautiful and attractive name. He kept claiming to Aadam that the forbidden tree was 'the tree of eternal life,' and that eating from it would make him live forever in Paradise, or would make him one of the angels Your Lord did not forbid you this tree save you should become angels or become of the immortals (7):20] until Aadam obeyed Shaytan, and was subsequently expelled from Paradise. ALLAH has made many good deeds for us, acts of worship and kindness towards others, which are easy to do and are greatly rewarded. These deeds might appear small in the sight of people but they can become as heavy as mountains on the scale of good on the Day of Resurrection. We should become familiar with them so we can practice them daily and thereby earn their blessings. Perhaps the easiest deeds for us to do are to fill our days with supplications, praising and glorifying ALLAH morning and night in particular. Every supplication will be counted among our good deeds and will erase our sins. Of course, we must not merely say them outwardly as we must also be sincere and act upon the meaning of these supplications.
