THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 25th day of Rajab, 1440, (Sunday, 31st March, 2019). HOW ARE YOU SAVING FOR YOUR LIFE AFTER DEATH?. BismilLah. The Mighty ALLAH and HIS Messenger Prophet Muhammed sallallahu alaihi wasallam has encouraged/recommended us to be wise and invest for our hereafter instead of chasing this temporary place of abode for our body. It's so scary that we don't know when we will die but yet we keep on spending time accomulating wealth on wealth instead of saving for our real future eternal home, the hereafter. ALLAH says to the nearest meaning; “O you who believe! Spend of that with which I, ALLAH have provided for you, before a Day comes when there will be no bargaining, nor friendship, nor intercession. And it is the disbelievers who are the Zaalimoon (wrongdoers)” [al-Baqarah 2:254]. ALLAH says again; “The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the way of ALLAAH, is likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 24th day of Rajab, 1440, (Saturday, 30th March, 2019). THE REWARDS OF HELPING THOSE IN NEED. Bismillah. As Muslims, it's important to know that whenever we can we must find people who are in need of help to help them especially relatives because helping any Muslim is in fact helping ourselves so the more you help others the more help you get from ALLAH Alhamdulillah. On the authority of Abu Huraira (may ALLAH be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) who said, ” Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, ALLAH will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter. Whoever alleviates [the situation of] one in dire straits who cannot repay his debt, ALLAH will alleviate his lot in both this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever conceals [the faults of] a Muslim, ALLAH will conceal [his faults] in this life and the Hereafter. ALLAH is helping the ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 23rd day of Rajab, 1440, (Friday, 29th March, 2019). THE RIGHT WAY TO RESPOND TO THOSE WHO OFFEND US. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. If you are having trouble with your family, In laws? Spouse? Relatives?..... The best way to maintain a healthy relationship is to always forgive and forget. No one is perfect. All perfections ONLY belongs to ALLAAH. Whether people speak evil of us, in our presence or behind our back, or they do evil to us in either of those ways, all is known to Allah Almighty. It is not for us to punish. Our best course is not to do evil in our turn, but to do what will best repel the evil. Two evils do not make a good. ALLAH Almighty in the Noble Qur'an commands us in several places to return the evil that is done to us by others to not only with good, but with best! Allah says in the Quran; "The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel (the evil) with one which is better (i.e. ALLAH ⁹orders the faithfu...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Rajab, 1440, (Thursday, 28th March, 2019). DON'T BLAME ANYONE OR QUESTION ALLAH'S DECISION ON YOUR LIFE. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Before we remind each other about this topic, let's consider this scenario, A friend gives you an amount of money to keep for him and says I can come for it anyday anytime which means it's not right to touch any of that money without his permission. Imagine he comes for his money today and you have his money for him, would you worry in anyway? would you mourn in any way? Would you ask why he is coming for his money? Certainly NO isn't it? ALLAH says; The dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs to HIM. HE creates whatever HE pleases. HE grants females to whomever HE pleases and males to whomever HE pleases , or grants them a mix of males and females, and causes whomever HE pleases to be BARREN. HE is All- Knowing, All-Powerful.(Quran 42 vrs 49-50). Allahu Akbar. F...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 21st day of Rajab, 1440, (Wednesday, 27th March, 2019). RAMADAN APPROACHING. HAVE YOU PAID YOUR LAST OR PREVIOUS YEARS MISSED RAMADAN FASTING? Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's note that it is not permissible as a Muslim to delay your missed days of fasting from previous Ramadan till this time unless with legitimate permissible reasons which every Muslim must learn about. ALLAH will not accept any mistakes we do due to lack of knowledge whilst we have means to seek the knowledge. We must learn or ask the learned brothers and sisters before we act in Islam, don't act ignorantly especially when it comes to acts of worship like Fasting. First of all, be aware that it is NOT permissible to feed the poor days we couldn't fast in Ramadan except those who cannot fast permanently due to old age or perminent illness such as stomach cancer etc which professional doctors has confirmed you cannot fast permanently. If there is any hope o...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 20th day of Rajab, 1440, (Tuesday, 26th March, 2019). THE FUTURE IS FOR ISLAM. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Islam came to return man to his Sustainer and to make HIS guidance (Qur'an and Sunnah) the only source from which values and standards are to be obtained, as HE is the Provider and Originator. All relationships ought to be based through HIM, as we came into being through HIS will and shall return to HIM. Islam is a complete ways of life and all these delusion of democracy and human constitutions only causes hardship and waste of time, most importantly damages relationship with the Creator. Islam came to establish only one relationship which binds men together in the sight of ALLAH, and if this relationship is firmly established, then all other relationships based on blood or other considerations become eliminated; ALLAH says, "You will not find the people who believe in ALLAH and the Hereafter taking as allies the ...
Assalaamu Alaikum warahmatullah to you all. In supplement to our reminder today I would like to add that Gratitude is not an option and we should clean our hearts to thank ALLAH for everything that HE has provided us. Gratitude helps us to slow down and to enjoy what we have rather than always waiting for the next wish to come true. Gratitude can help us recognize that we already have enough of what many people have for long been yearning for. We must therefore tame our Nafs to understand that if we can’t find happiness in the blessings that we have today, then we won’t be happy with what we get tomorrow. You see, gratitude is a sense of fulfillment that comes not from wanting more but rather from a sense of knowing that ALLAH has already blessed us with what we need. In one of the hadiths the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “…if the son of Adam has one valley, he will wish that he had a second, and if he had two valleys, he would wish that he had a third. The stomach of the son o...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 19th day of Rajab, 1440, (Mon8, 25th March, 2019). ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE WHO ARE GRATEFUL TO ALLAH OR NOT?. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Gratitude (shukr) is about expressing thanks and appreciation to those who do any favor to us. Obviously, none can come close to our Creator, ALLAH, who gave us everything. As the Quran states: “Who CREATED you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion” [Infitar 82:7]. As humans, ALLAH has bestowed on us the nature to be grateful and we should thus express that gratitude not just to ALLAH but to the people whom we deal with as well. In many places in the Quran, ALLAH divides people as being grateful and as ungrateful to motivate us to join the camp of those who are grateful. In one of such verses, ALLAH says, “. . . And whoever is grateful, truly, his gratitude is for (the good of) his own self, and whoever is ungrateful, (he is ungrateful only for the loss of his own self). Certainly! ALL...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 18th day of Rajab, 1440, (Sunday, 24th March, 2019). Let's remind each other and also our children how TAQWA is the major part of our religion and how to instil TAQWA in our daily lives. This was shared to me by one of my beloved sisters yesterday and I just edited it a bit to re-share. BismilLah. What is TAQWA? TAQWA is not only about manners, not about looking Islamic, not about sporting a beard or wearing a Hijab, not about appearance BUT TAQWA is when you miss a prayer, you feel uneasy the whole day, when you speak a lie, you feel bad, the guilt that follows when you hurt someone knowingly or unknowingly, the shame and regret that follows a sin you committed knowing full well how it stands in the sight of ALLAH, when you cannot sleep after disobeying or disrespecting your parents, to cry in the depths of night fearing none but the one above the Arsh (Thrown), the fear that refrains us from sinning when nobody familiar is around. t...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 17th day of Rajab, 1440, (Saturday, 23rd March, 2019). SHEITAN FEAR PURE HEARTS SO LET'S PURIFY OUR HEARTS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “When a believer sins there appears a black spot on his heart, and if he repents and asks pardon his heart is polished; but if he does more it increases till it covers his heart. “Obeying ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) revives and gives life to the heart, making it strong and firm. Obeying ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) cleans the dirt (rust) which is on the heart and makes it shine. Continuous obedience of ALLAH (subhana wa ta’ala) makes the heart clean, pure, luminous and as shiny as a mirror. Strange and amazing are the effects of this illumined heart. “When a Shaytaan like a jinn approaches a person with such a heart, the light of that heart hits the Shaytaan. When believers with such hearts cross the path of a Shaytaan and the Shaytaan...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 16th day of Rajab, 1440, (Friday, 22nd March, 2019). Why do certain Surahs or chapters in the Qur’an begin with some Abreviated Letters such as Alif Laam Meem, Haa Meem, Yaa Seen, Taa Haa etc, What is the significance of such terms or phrases? What do they mean? How would you explain to an Atheist, None Muslims or even fellow Muslims who don't know?. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. It's totally wrong to say something ALLAH said has no meaning. The meaning maybe hidden from us but it does have meaning and if we accept it from ALLAH it means we've submitted to ALLAH that we know nothing and only ALLAH knows all. That's why if we recite alone we get rewarded. Studies has shown that ALLAH started revealing the Quran to the Prophet who was not educated in any form or shape. Not even nursery education. The People around him, the Meccans were also illiterates whatsoever but were orally excellence in Arabic Language so when he star...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 15th day of Rajab, 1440, (Thursday, 21st March, 2019). IS MARRIAGE COMPULSORY?. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The Ulamaa (Scholars of Islam) have stated that ruling on marriage differs according to the state and conditions of each person. It can be highly recommended in some cases, or even obligatory under certain conditions. It can also be prohibited or only permitted under other circumstances. Below is a summary based on scholars deliberation on marriage. 1. Marriage is considered fard (obligatory) if a person is so tormented by sexual desire that he/she fears falling into the sin of fornication. Since staying away from fornication is obligatory, and since marriage is the only avenue for legitimate sexual satisfaction, it becomes obligatory on such a person to get married. This is based on the principle in jurisprudence that says: “If an obligatory thing cannot be fulfilled except by fulfilling another, then fulfilling the latter bec...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithnayn, 12th day of Rajab, 1440, (Monday, 18th March, 2019). THE MERCIFUL NATURE OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM CONTINUES. Don't miss reading a line and enjoy these lovely mini biography of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. His Mercy to Animals was also second to none. The mercy of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) even encompassed animals. He encouraged people to be kind to animals and not to burden them beyond their capacity. Imaam Muslim narrated that the Prophet said: "Indeed ALLAAH has enjoined goodness to everything including animals, so when you slaughter, slaughter in a good way. Every one of you should thus sharpen his knife and let the slaughtered animal die comfortably. One day, the Prophet(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), entered an orchard which belonged to a man from the Ansaar (helpers in Madina). There was a camel in the orchard, and as soon as the camel ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 11th day of Rajab, 1440, (Sunday, 17th March, 2019). THE MERCIFUL NATURE OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam continues from the reminder yesterday. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. His Mercy to Women: Knowing that fragility and tenderness were the nature of women, the Prophet encouraged taking care of women and being kind to them, saying: "Whoever is in charge of these daughters and treats them generously, then they will act as a shield for him from the Hellfire."He sharply stressed the rights of wives and commanded men to look after theirs by saying: "Be good to your wives - they are like captives with you and you do not possess anything from them except this - unless they commit open immorality." The Prophet, (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), set shining examples in being kind to his wives. To help his wives etc. Whenever his daughter Faatimah would come to him, he would kiss her hand and seat her in his place. ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 9th day of Rajab, 1440, (Friday, 15th March, 2019). CARING FOR OUR WIVES MUST BE A PRIORITY OF EVERY HUSBAND. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Marriage in Islam is a covenant or contract between us and ALLAH as such we will be accountable to ALLAH as to how we handled someone's daughter we married by accepting to cater for her as instructed by ALLAH and HIS Messenger. The husband has to treat his wife in a good and kind manner, and to spend on her food, drink, clothing and accommodation, because ALLAH says in the QUR'AN; “and live with them honourably (the wives)”[al-Nisa 4:19]. How do you honour an important guest to your home? Our wives deserve better than that. ALLAH says in the QUR'AN; “And they (women) have rights (over their husbands as regards living expenses) similar (to those of their husbands) over them (as regards obedience and respect) to what is reasonable, but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them. And ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 8th day of Rajab, 1440, (Thursday, 14th March, 2019). DO NOT GO NEAR FORNICATION OR ADULTERY. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALLAH the Almighty says in the HOLY QUR'AN; Do not go near to adultery, Surely it is a shameful deed and evil, opening roads (to other evils). (Quran 17:32). ALLAH warned again; Say, 'Verily, my Lord has prohibited the shameful deeds, be it open or secret, sins and trespasses against the truth and reason ( Quran 7:33). Prophet Muhammad (sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam) has said in many places that adultery is one of the three major sins. However, the most interesting story is that of a young man who went to the Prophet. This man asked for permission to fornicate because he could not control himself. The Prophet dealt with him with reasoning and asked him if he would approve of someone else having illegal sex with his mother, sister, daughter, or wife. Each time the man said 'no'. Then the Prophet repli...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Arbaà, 7th day of Rajab, 1440, (Wednesday, 13th March, 2019). HELPING OTHERS SEEKING ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality we are helping ourselves. When we pray for them, the Angels pray for us. Fulfilling the rights of brotherhood in Islam is a means for ALLAH to support us and reward us in the Hereafter. Failing our brothers and sisters in Islam results in ALLAH withdrawing this support. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon him, said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH will make it easy for him in the world and the Hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH will conceal his faults in the world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 6th day of Rajab, 1440, (Tuesday, 12th March, 2019). WHO ARE YOUR FRIENDS?. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Truly this is one of the most dangerous and most critical aspects about one’s guidance and steadfastness on the straight path, yet many people are heedless of it and/or underestimate it. The degree to which Islam places emphasis on one’s companions and their impact on one’s life here and in the eternal hereafter is quite remarkable. We read in the Qur’an Allah saying: “Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous (to whom Allah will say), “O My servants, no fear will there be concerning you this Day, nor will you grieve, [You] who believed in Our verses and were Muslims. Enter Paradise, you and your kinds, delighted.” Circulated among them will be plates and vessels of gold. And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally. And that i...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithlayn, 5th day of Rajab, 1440, (Monday, 11th March, 2019). THE POWER OF REPENTANCE. Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. As Muslims our faith may become weak and we may be overwhelmed by our evil desires due to satanic influences. The Shaytaan may make sin attractive to us, so we wrong ourselves (commits sin) and falls into that which ALLAAH has forbidden. But let's always remember that ALLAAH is Kind to HIS servants, and HIS mercy encompasses all things. Whoever repents sincerely after doing wrong, ALLAH will accept his repentance, for ALLAH is Forgiving and Merciful.  ALLAH says; “But whosoever repents after his crime and does righteous good deeds (by obeying ALLAAH), then verily, ALLAAH will pardon him (accept his repentance). Verily, ALLAAH is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. Al-Maa’idah 5:39. ALLAH is Forgiving and Generous. HE commands all HIS servants to repent sincerely so that they may gain HIS MERCY and HIS Paradise. ALLAAH says; “O you ...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 4th day of Rajab, 1440, (Sunday, 10th March, 2019). If a girl doesn't wear hijab, does that mean she will go to hell? But what if she offers her Salaat, recite Quran regualrly, act decently, doesn't look at boys, doesn't gossip/babckbite etc, will not wearing hijab condem her to hell despite all her good attributes?. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. First of all it is essential to know that Muslim men and Muslim women are obliged to follow the commands of ALLAAH and HIS Messenger, no matter how difficult that may be for people and without feeling shy of other people. The believer who is sincere in his or her faith is the one who is sincere in carrying out his or her duties towards their Lord and obeying HIS commands and avoiding that which HE has forbidden. No believer, man or woman, has the right to hesitate or delay with regard to commands; rather he or she should hear and obey immediately, in accordance with words of ALLAAH: “I...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 3rd day of Rajab, 1440, (Saturday, 9th March, 2019). Paradise should be our priority. Let's continue from the reminder yesterday. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem To find out what really drives human behavior, two kinds of happiness must be distinguished: feel-good happiness and value-based happiness. Feel-good happiness is sensation-based pleasure. When we joke around or eat our favorite food, we experience feel-good happiness. This type of happiness rarely lasts longer than a few hours at a time. Value-based happiness is a sense that our lives have meaning and fulfill the larger purpose of our existence by connecting us to the Creator ALLAH. It represents a spiritual source of satisfaction, stemming from our deeper purpose and values. Living a God-conscious life rooted in the values of the Quran and Sunnah, a Muslim is driven - beyond sensual pleasures - by the desire to make it to Paradise and to be safe from Hell after death. Isl...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 2nd day of Rajab, 1440, (Friday, 8th March, 2019). PARADISE, OUR ULTIMATE GOAL. BismilLahir Rahmaanir Raheem. The Objectives are to learn the definition and types of happiness. To realize that the desire for Paradise is a significant factor in motivating a Muslim to do good deeds. To become familiar by means of modest, the nature of the gardens of Paradise. What drives us? What makes us do the things we do? What makes us happy? Many people will answer maximizing pleasure and minimizing pain is the ultimate key to human happiness. If so, how come people can be happy while in pain and unhappy while experiencing pleasure? If pleasure is not the only motivating force that drives us, what does? What desires must we fulfill to live a happy life? For most of those who see happiness in the carnal, rather than the spiritual, it is pretty basic: desire to avoid pain and anxiety, desire to spend time with relatives, desire to eat, desire for s...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 1st day of Rajab, 1440, (Thursday, 7th March, 2019). PROCESS OF DIVORCE IN ISLAM THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED CONTINUES. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's continue from yesterday's reminder. Islam outlines certain steps that need to take place both before, during, and after a divorce. The needs of both parties are considered. Any children of the marriage are given top priority. Guidelines are given both for personal behavior and legal process. Following these guidelines may be difficult, especially if one or both spouses feel wronged or angry. Strive to be mature and just. Remember ALLAH'S words in the Quran: "The parties should either hold together on equitable terms or separate with kindness." (Surah al-Baqarah, 2:229). The Quran says: “And if you fear a breach between the two, appoint an arbiter from his relatives and an arbiter from her relatives. If they both desire reconciliation ALLAH will effect harmony betwee...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Arbaà, 29th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1440, (Wednesday, 6th March, 2019). PROCESS OF DIVORCE IN ISLAM THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Yes we all know Divorce is permitted in Islam but as a last resort if it is not just possible to continue the marriage. Certain steps need to be taken to ensure that all options have been exhausted and both parties are treated with respect, kindness and justice. Marriage life in Islam should be filled with mercy, compassion, and tranquility. Marriage is a great act of worship. Each partner in the marriage has certain rights and responsibilities, which are to be fulfilled in a loving way in the best interests of the family. Today in our so called modern society, we use the word divorce so easily and carelessly due to most times anger then pride and arrogance which is haraam in ISLAM. When a marriage is in danger, couples are advised to pursue all possible remedies to rebuild the relationship. D...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 28th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1440, (Tuesday, 5th March, 2019). ISLAM IS THE ONLY RELIGION OF GOD ALMIGHTY, ALLAH. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. I usually remind ourselves that Islam is a way of life set by ALLAH and HIS Messengers and the final Messenger to mankind without any doubt is Mohammed sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam so who ever claims to worship ALLAH or GOD in English must follow the ways of the final Messenger Muhammad sallalLaahu Alaihi Wasallam. ALLAH says in HIS final gospel to mankind that *_There is ONLY ONE religion of ALLAH in the heavens and the earth and that is the religion of Islam_* (Quran 3:19). And HE says again: I am pleased with Islam as a religion for you (Qur'an 5:3). ALLAH says again; “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers” [Qur'an 3:85] ALLAH commanded the Prophet to say: “O mankind! Verily, I am SENT to...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Ithlayn, 27th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1440, (Monday, 4th March, 2019). ARE YOU PREPARED FOR LAND JANAZAH? BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. This seems funny but serious matter to reflect upon. When we are leaving this world for the next one, it shall be like a trip to another country. Where details of that country won't be found in glamorous travel brochures but in the Holy Qura'an and the Authentic teachings of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Where our plane won't be any airline but land Janazah. Alhamdulillah, my country Ghana don't even have airlines so you better prepare to use land Janazah and leave politics alone. Where our luggage won't be anything but our deeds no matter how heavy they weigh. Where our dress won't be a Pierre Cardin suit or the like but the white cotton shroud. Where our perfume won't be Channel, Paco Rabane, but the camphor and attar. Where our passport will only be Al Islam. Where o...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 26th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1440, (Sunday, 3rd March, 2019). MENSTRUATION AND SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. ALLAAH has forbidden men to have intercourse with their wives during their menstruation. The Qur’aan clearly stated the reason for this prohibition, which is that menstruation is adha (a harmful thing). ALLAAH says to the nearest meaning: “They ask you concerning menstruation. Say: that is an Adha (a harmful thing for a husband to have a sexual intercourse with his wife while she is having her menses), therefore, keep away from women during menses” [Qur'an 2:222]. Scientific studies in this field have disclosed to us some of the harm that is referred to in this verse, but they have not managed to describe all the harms that are referred to in the Qur’aanic text. Dr. Muhiy al-Deen al-‘Alabi said: “It is essential to refrain from having intercourse with a menstruating women because doing so leads to an i...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 25th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1440, (Saturday, 2nd March, 2019). THE WISDOM AND SIGNIFICANCE BEHIND OUR 5 DAILY SALAAT. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Some Muslims with high western knowledge but less Islamic knowledge actually think that some of the commands of Islamic Shari’ah carry no wisdom, purpose, or significance. They think like the atheist and believe that its components are loosely related to each other and lack logical harmony. Please note that as soon as you challenge the wisdom or logic behind anything ALLAH and HIS Messenger has commanded, you've invalidated your shahaadah or faith with ALLAH. Satan will keep putting doubts in your mind till you join the atheist or other faith for dunya or earth acquisition. These commands are simply to test the loyalty and obedience of a servant by his Master. It is simply a servant-master relationship and nothing beyond. If the servant obeys, he is rewarded and if he disobeys, he is the...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul As-Sabat, 25th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1440, (Saturday, 2nd March, 2019). SPEAK KINDLY OR REMAIN SILENT. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem First of all my apologies for not being able to continue with this reminder yesterday as promise. Inshaa Allah before the end of today i will release today's REMINDER. Lets now turn our attention to speaking in general. Abû Hurayrah(RA) relates that ALLAH'S Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever believes in ALLAH and the Last Day should speak a good word or remain silent. And whoever believes in ALLAH and the Last Day should show hospitality to his neighbor. And whoever believes in ALLAH and the Last Day should show hospitality to his guest.” (Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Muslim). When we have nothing beneficial to say, silence is golden. Once, Mu`âdh b. Jabal asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) to inform him of some good work that would admit him into Paradise and distance him from the Hellfire. The Pro...
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 24th day of Jumaadal Aakhir 1440, (Friday, 1st March, 2019). SPEAK KINDLY OR REMAIN SILENT. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem. A Muslim has to guard his tongue and avoid things that have been forbidden. Among these forbidden things which people often take lightly are gheebah (backbiting), buhtan (slander) and nameemah (malicious gossip). Gheebah or backbiting means speaking about a person in his absence and saying things that he would not like to have spread around or mentioned. Buhtan or slander means saying things about a person that are not true, or in other words telling lies about him. Nameemah or malicious gossip means telling one person what another said in order to cause trouble between them. ALLAH says: “neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear ALLAH. Verily, ALLAH is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful” [49:12]...
